Ok, Thomas. Thanks. Is this where I post my question? I have an '83 230e W123, and the cooling fan comes on immediately before the engine has even hit operating temperature. The temp gauge seems to move upwards significantly when I'm in traffic or at a stop light, and I frequently have to top off the coolant somewhat, even though i recently flushed my coolant and replaced the thermostat, and have bled the system by topping off at operating temperature with the heater on max and opening the bleeder screw. Why am I loosing coolant, and why does the fan automatically come on at engine starting?
