Got Questions

Hi Pierre, I've recently purchased a 74 280 with the M1 10.921 engine. It runs but is definitely a bit of an unstable idle. I'm in the midst of replacing the rotor, cap and points. New plugs from Mercedes. I did notice the way the engine was timed that the distributor is turned all the way to the extreme of the range available. I'm wondering if it was installed one tooth off. If so, how do you remove the rotor and assembly and move it one tooth without messing it up. The other wrinkle with this car is that an apparently high-end shop said that the carburetters are a pain so they put on a holy sniper 2 fuel injection. I do have the original carburetor, but I'm gonna just work with what's on there. Regards Eric
