As a poor (MWC) I do normally get the Study Guide. Previously I heard "Study Guide" and my brain goes to test. I sort of expected there to be a 20 question test at the end. I do plan to print a copy and keep it in my pocket for next time a lively discussion ensues over an old obsolete military firearm ensues.
Just for fun, McHale's Navy season 1 episode 11 McHale called the Japanese rifles Nanbu's
I wish you guys could make study guides for past lessons. Like the SKS, Winchester 1887 and 1897, Remington 10, US Model of 1917, P14, Enfield No1 MKIII, Swiss 1911, Swiss 1889, Japanese Type 38 and 99 BAR... There are so many that I can't remember them all. Thanks for all your hard work!
While I think it's neat that the CMP is doing a special short run of Gas Trap M1s for the collector crowd, I'm not into safe queens or wall-hangers, so I'm really glad Army Ordnance said "Hold up, wait a minute! Somethin' ain't right..." and went back in to remove the Bang system and bequeath us all the beloved M1 we all know today. [Wait, what's that you say? You don't know & love the M1? Educate thyself forthwith or be burned, heretic!.. 😄]
