Life wasn't easy for the boomers I know. Quite the opposite actually.
Fear normally is a stressful feeling that makes us act irrationally, but the Fear of God is what makes us cling to the truth. God is the refuge from fear, so the way I see it, the fear of God isn't actually the fear of being close to God but the fear of being far from him.
