Dev Diary #14 - "The First Course" Arc - 0.7.0
Hey everyone,
I'm aiming to drop the first 0.7.x preview this coming Sunday for Platinum.
As mentioned in the last update, as much as I wanted to release this 27 scene behemoth sooner, the reality is that it needs more time cooking.
I'm confident I have enough drafted content to sustain the preview cadence until the full 0.7.x is done.
Once I drop the first preview I will do my best to release previews roughly every 2 weeks, with some day variance. I expect it to go similarly to what I did last year if you want to take a look.
I don't have a date for the full 0.7.x release today, and I'm not going to guess. It depends on how smoothly the preview cycle goes and how much I messed up during the drafts (gulp).
A few notes:
Previews are smaller and more scrappy than full releases, treat them as a public beta testing of sorts.
If you'd rather have the fully polished full-release, I'd still suggest subscribing when that happens.
For anyone thinking of replaying the game: hold off until preview #1! There are quite a few base-game improvements that will make the replay feel better.
Future dev diaries will go back to being paid access.

Is there a guess for when free release happening after you release in paid?
Will there be finally real swinging this time? I mean, isn't it time for real thing? Not just teasing, but raw forbidden fire.

You should consider hiring a PM/editor to help you with scheduling and deciding when to kill your darlings.
Jesus Christ that Echidna guy gave me an aneurysm. I kind of find it funny when people complain about a solo dev trying his hardest to not only meet the standards of many people, but also try to balance their own real lives and online lives in attempt to make things co exist. So for the people who complain because of the long wait time, get a hobby yeah? Or better yet, get a job because honestly complaining over a hentai game (even if it’s as peak as this one) is just embarrassing asf. Like, genuinely… Yeah I get the constant pushing dates back and sometimes no responses, but like I said… people are complaining over a game, and it’s mostly non paying users 😭 Bro said he was ready to pay 15$ like… okay? Save the complaining for the people who have been paying for a while.

A game developer, that is taking 15 USD monthly for instant download. There is also game named "Netorase Dreams" and its dev is also releasing updates almost once per year. But he is not taking a single cent and nobody says single word. Come do your white knight thing when this game is free to play and not taking 15 USD monthly for instant download. "Thanks for your understanding" - is there even anyone who understands how is update divided into 2 parts and after like 10 months of waiting for that 2nd part you drop information that 2nd part is divided further into 27 parts and that they are "smaller and more scrappy, more like beta versions" and that you are gonna release them one by one every 2 weeks (so like another 14 months until it's all released 🤣💀) starting since.... since... who even knows?😭Imagine me, who has like 15 USD ready to spend since like last year's december for 2nd part, because I already learned that if I stay subbed here, I will pay over 100 USD for single update where is literally 0 NTS sex scenes, just teasing dialogues.🤪Thank you very much, see you in >14 months, holy jesus f*cking christ.🙏💀
If you look through the dev diaries, that 2nd part isn't what is now planned. That direction felt wrong and I was unhappy with it, so I scrapped good chunks of it. It's not the direction I wanted to take with the story, and I still have dozens of CGs from that part that will go unused. As for the rest, the scope simply grew over time. Full update will be out well before 14 months. Previews contain a group of scenes (unless the scene is massive). I understand it's frustrating, which is why I've been suggesting people hold off subbing for a few months now. I still appreciate anyone able to support through the ups and downs of development, and am looking forward to releasing the previews. "A delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is bad forever"

That's cool. I just hope the update doesn't come out next week; I'll be traveling and won't be able to play—I'd have to wait two weeks. So, speaking for myself: take your time. 👌
