Dev Diary #9 - "The First Course" Arc - 0.7.0

Hey everyone,

Hope your summer's going well and you're surviving the heat.

0.7.0 status:

This has been a challenging one. It's the start of Act 2, which means new arcs, new locations, new characters, a lot of groundwork for the rest of the act.

A handful of scenes I'd partly built earlier changed or needed more attempts, so I ended up scrapping a fair chunk of that work. Frustrating, but it happens.

That said, work has progressed, a lot of planning happened too, including some workflow improvements, which brings me to:

Release target: end of July 2026.

I said last diary I'd put a date out. All the usual caveats apply... quality stays first. If something fundamentally isn't ready, I'll be honest about it before the date and let you know.

But end of July is what I'm building towards to. Animations may be in a 0.7.1 patch shortly after rather than the main release.

Platinum: Hope you enjoyed last big spoiler, another tease dropping later this week.
