Remember when I said good enough was good enough?
I just couldn't take it any more. I'm a perfectionist, and I couldn't just leave it alone.
I hired an animator to completely pull apart and rebuild the animation and all its files, and we finally figured out - for real this time - why Spider Spawner was crashing the game.
Expect a full and complete fix in 1.56 soon :)

Looking forward to it! Also be careful not to burn yourself out. I personally don't mind if you take some breaks.
I'm doing just fine! A good portion of my time working on LLE is spent waiting for art and animation assets to be finished by the folks I've hired, so I get my time off.
I work in a critical care hospital setting. "Consulting a specialist" is absolutely a correct answer. Bravo on your part!
What was the root cause then?
If a skeleton used Inverse Kinematics during a transition from captor_empty to captor_full then it would crash if the skeleton was not named _full appropriately in Spine -- it wasn't enough to rename the files after export, the hash code in the .skel file had to properly represent the name too.
