Genetics Overhaul Collection: No Weird Age Up and Random Genetics (Preview)
Finally I made one of the most challenging and wanted projects I planned to release. This mod collection provides completely another genetics system.
This module remakes all CAS templates to set way more strict randomization limits for various sliders. And just to be clear, the same templates apply on your Sims when they age up.
And yeah, I fixed one of the most annoying things – small chins. It turned out, that the game can't randomize the chin sliders upward, but instead is encouraged to apply the lower values. That's why small chins are generated way more often and appear even if your previous generations had normal chins.
But that's not the only change! I set up the lower and highest limit of eyes, lips and nostrils size; eyes, nose and mouth positions, eyebrows angles, shoulder length and a few more sliders I forgot to mention.
Of course, you still can see an ugly NPC, but it will occur much less often. Besides, it's often not because of the sliders, but because of the presets itself. That's why I recommend to use Presets Selection for Randomized Sims by SimplyAnjuta – this mod excludes the ugly presets from the NPC randomization.

Hi just wanted to see if you would ever consider doing a preteen/tween mod that has the child sim "age up" to preteen/tween and become a bit taller with an auto height slider turning them into a preteen/tween they would still slightly look like a child but be a bit taller. there's a preteen mod but it take teen sims and de-ages them into preteens using an auto height slider making the teen sim shorter which makes them look like short adults rather than preteens.

Thank you for this interesting mod. I'm wondering, if I manually set the hair color and eye color for the parent sims in the trait panel, will those settings be automatically inherited by their children?
You're welcome! If you manually set color, then this color will be considered on creating offspring's genetics. That's why you can change hair and eye color, not affecting genetics
As soon as it becomes public, I will definitely be downloading it. It will be nice to have my sims actually looking like they are family. Especially with the grandchildren being born in my current save file.

At the very least, it would be great to have a mod that lets Sims age from childhood to adulthood and then just stop—unless you actually create elder Sims, in which case they’d age normally, haha. Or I don't know... I’m also really hoping for fresh vampire mods—new types of bites, new romance options, and so on. I feel like the supernatural creatures didn't get as much attention as the Sims themselves.
You could have aging on but then flag your Sims to stop aging with mccc when they hit the age you want them to stop. Or you could change the lifespan settings and make those ones really long in comparison to the children's ages.
The only thing missing is the mods in Spanish, hahaha.

It’s just awful when all the Sims you create age and lose the look you spent so much time crafting. I know you can stop aging for everyone—both active Sims and those you aren't currently playing—and that you can still have babies, but of course, the babies don't grow up... It’s a mess; there’s no balance, or else Sim lifespans just need to be longer.
I play with disabled aging, but still I have to remake everything when I advance age of my Sims 😭
I changed the percent variation for genetics in MCCC will this mod affect that?
The MCCC settings will apply the variation boundaries after my mod work Of course, it won't mean anything for a slider which for I turned off randomization entirely

Thank you too! I was so frustrated by the dull genetics system of TS4. But recently one of my Sims got pregnant and it motivated me to make several biological mods for a new family member ;)
