We actually started working on this mod quite a while ago, but some issues took time to resolve. But here it is!
Main feature
As stated, this mod allows all pets from the Cats & Dogs EP (cats, kittens, puppies and small and large dogs) to sleep on beds. In the game, they currently sleep on sofas, and in some circumstances, cats can sleep on beds.
Nap together!
I mean, many of us love spending time with our pets in bed and having a nap together. Isn't that cute? ;)
There is a special 'Nap Together With Pet' interaction on beds. You can choose which pet your sim wants to sleep with. This has a positive effect on their relationship and gives them this sim a sweet moodlet. <3
Limitations
Large dogs can only sleep on double beds – they take up almost the entire space on single beds!
Sometimes pets sleep near the beds because the game thinks they need more space in these cases. or they may fly above a bit. That's not an issue with the mod itself. This usually happens with pets wearing the Cone of Shame.
You can choose a pet to nap with that is not currently sleeping, there is space on the bed, and this pet is in active household.
Also, pets can float above some CC beds. Read the guide below how to fix these beds

I'm talking about beds causing pets floating. We're going to fix it.
Step 1: Open the CC bed in Sims4Studio
Download the studio from this link and set it up. Next, on the main screen, click the “My Projects” button and find the bed you want to modify. Warning! This post is not for help with Sims4Studio downloading and setting up, that's just the initial step.
Step 2: find an appropriate height
The problem lies in what’s called the “footprint.” This is an object attribute that defines its boundaries, which Sims cannot cross. This is done to prevent them from falling through or walking through objects. For some CC beds, the footprint height is too high for cats, so we need to set a lower value.
To do this, open the Rigs / Slots tab. Now we see a bunch of pink triangles. They represent slots – that is, interaction points. What matters to us isn’t so much the triangles themselves as the height of these slots.
UPD: If you don't see this tab, go to step 3 trying to set height to 0.56. Choose from 0.55 to 0.65 if this value doesn't seem right.
Select the lowest triangle on the bed. Once you do that, the slot name and – most importantly – its coordinates will appear in the tab on the right. We’re interested in the Z value, which is the height. Copy the value.
You can click on various triangled to ensure you chose the lowest one.
Step 3: Edit the footprint
In the upper-left corner, click the Warehouse tab, and then type foot into the search bar above the files. This will help you find the file you're looking for. Click on it, and then click Edit Items next to the MaxHeightOverride field.
Now paste the copied height value into both PolygonHeightOverride tabs. Don't forget to save.
Save again when you close this window. Now you can check it in the game.

You might not know this, but my husband and I are actually cat volunteers. Sometimes our cats and foster cats take over the bed, so we don't have much space to sleep comfortably x)

Thanks for the tutorial! I love learning new things to fix things myself cos I like being able to at a moment's notice :) The other day partner was sitting next to me watching something I was doing and asked "Do you want me to teach you how to script that?" and we had a HUGE back and forth on why it's weird I STILL haven't learned to script for myself given how much redundant tasks I do and that realistically I know running scripts on some of them would free up time for MORE redundant tasks and thus WOO but... OCD weirdo brain hasn't made that leap. I really do need to pick it up though, considering the first step I have when setting up a new computer is... running a handful of scripts I have lying around to disable stuff for Windows 11 that I can't stand. XD

What’s the difference between using “my projects” or just editing it directly in the “my cc” option that pulls up the whole mods folder? I usually just edit stuff that way, but maybe I’m doing it wrong? 😬🙈

Can pets sleep on the bed while Sim is sleeping in the bed?

Oh. My. God! You are my hero!❤❤❤ I've been waiting for this for so long and didn't even expect someone to actually make this mod! Previously, I had to put the bed downstairs and move it up to the platform with the pet's bedding to make it look like the pet was sleeping on the bed (if you know what I mean) — It was complicated and not suitable for single-story apartments. Edit: My Large dog constantly jumps off the bed and sleeps on the floor. I would be very happy if you could fix this, although it might be too impudent of me to ask for such a thing😅. In any case, I found two solutions. Method one: using the "Playable Pets" mod, click on an unoccupied bed as pet and select one of three empty interactions. The pet will lie down without any problems. This way, you put the pet on the bed first, then the sim, and everything works. Method two: call the pet onto the bed as the sim, and IMMEDIATELY as soon as it jumps on, block the bed on all sides (for example, with a fence)

Hii, I have the "Nap Together With Pet" interaction not only show on beds, but on any object that previously didn't have a click-able tuning (like sculpture (view, and noview versions), or prototype, plant; etc.); I think the reason why this is happening is because pets can nap near objects with these EA tuning - you can see a bubble of the animal thinking about the object, then it moves and naps next to it. Are you able to look to see if this can be changed?
Hi, you see this interaction not because of that. It's applied by object tag value, and the tag can't be added to the object by a running interaction. Plus, you see the Sim Picker, not the pet sleeping interactions, so they have nothing in common. It's an injector bug, appears mostly on the objects that were spawned (on load) / purchased and placed right on the surface with the bed tag. I can't fix anything here
My cats always float above the bed, even without the cone of shame (or any accessories whatsoever, I checked). Also I get the "Nap with pet" option on random decorative objects. The concept is very cute but since for me it's not working as intended I'll uninstall for now. Shame EA didn't include this by default. I'm pretty sure even in Sims 2 pets could sleep on your bed.
The option appears not because of the mod but because all these objects have incorrect object tags. Cats float because some EA beds and many CC ones don't have proper slots as they should by default
