In Concept: Clan PVP systems

Today we want to dig a little deeper into development and share some purely conceptual features.

When people hear “massive multiplayer,” they often think of cooperation — namely clans. We’re expanding clan functionality in many directions, and one of the most exciting is clan competition.

In these battles, players contribute points based on their army’s performance. The better your roster of ladies is leveled and equipped, the higher your score. But how should clans face off? A simple 1v1 format seemed too punishing — half the clans would lose every time. That’s why we explored a multi-clan format, where several groups clash to see who truly comes out on top.

With that decided, the next challenge was how to present the competition process. For games of this genre, it’s important not to demand constant participation. Our clan events usually last several days so players can contribute at their own pace — which means progress must be displayed clearly and readably.

We’ve tested several ideas:

  • A labyrinth layout looked exciting but was difficult to track.

  • A boat race was playful but lacked clarity.

  • A chariot race emerged as the most promising. This format allows us to show clans tied or close in score without clutter, thanks to its simple side-scroll view.

There’s still much to refine before the clan system is ready for full implementation, but we’re excited by the direction so far.

What do you think about these concepts? Which format appeals to you most?
