Pack your bags, we're taking a trip to Paris!

This mod transforms Britechester (Discover University) into a beautiful Paris-inspired world. With the help of bbygyal123, I've created a unique experience that goes beyond just an aesthetic backdrop. I hope this new world will inspire gorgeous stories for you & your sims! ♡

Beautiful Street Decor

The streets are decorated with Parisian buildings, cafes with outdoor seating, and more, including iconic Morris columns showcasing beautiful ads designed by bbygyal123.

Functional Parfumerie

An interactive shop where you can purchase functional perfumes. There are 4 different scents with custom buffs. Storefront window design by bbygyal123.

Functional Pâtisserie

An interactive shop where you can purchase macarons and petits gateaux. So far you can order 3 sweet treats, but I plan to expand the menu in future updates! Storefront window design by bbygyal123.

Foxbury Campus Overhaul

I personally hated the sleek modern look of Foxbury, so I've replaced the buildings to look more like Britechester university. Note: I did my best to preserve the core Foxbury object interactions, but my focus was aesthetics first, so there may be a slightly 'imperfect' experience for sims attending Foxbury university.

Coffee Cart Overhaul

The university coffee carts have a new design and a new expanded menu, featuring food & drinks from various packs such as croissants, crepes, macarons and café lattes. (Only food from packs you own will work.)

Paris-Inspired CC

New objects that you can use to decorate your own builds, including a functional espresso machine for the obligatory french cafe. Find cc in build/buy by searching "paris" or "lijoue".

*INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS*

(IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!)

This mod pack has two separate components that need to be installed in two different locations.

• Download & Extract/Unzip the .zip folder below. "Extract" is not the same as "open". Please extract/unzip the archive.

• Feel free to delete any DS.Store files (these are auto-generated on PC because I use Mac).

CC

The folder called "Paris World CC" can be placed directly in your "Mods" folder like normal mods/cc. You can delete the objects you don't want.

AREAS (Requires Discover University)

The folder called "Areas" has three .world files that correspond to the 3 neighbourhoods in Britechester.

• EP08_ArtsCampus_01.world — Britechester University

• EP08_STEMCampus_01.world — Foxbury University

• EP08_CollegeTown_01.world — The Gibbs Hill Town Area

These .world files must replace the original EA world files with the exact same names. You can find the files on your computer in EP08 > Worlds > Areas

• You must find and replace every instance of the aforementioned files on your computer. If you have 2 copies of the original files in different folders, yes, you should replace them in both folders. If you find one EP08 folder, make sure to check for another. Check the delta folder. IF IT'S NOT WORKING FOR YOU, THIS IS THE MOST COMMON ISSUE. 

The path to find the EP08 folder(s) will vary depending on your setup, but here are some examples to look for:

PC:

• This PC > Windows(C:) > Program Files > EA Games > The Sims 4 > EP08 > Worlds > Areas

• This PC > Windows(C:) > Program Files > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > delta > EP08 > Worlds > Areas

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\EP08\Worlds\Areas

MAC:

•  Applications / The Sims 4 / delta / EP08 / Worlds / Areas

• Applications / The Sims 4 Packs / EP08 / Worlds / Areas

  You need to right click the The Sims 4 app icon and click "show package contents" to access the 'The Sims 4' game folder (it won't show up in Finder search). There you'll find the 'delta' folder and then the path is the same as above.

STEAM DECK:

• Make sure "show hidden files" is selected in the file browser

• / > home > deck > .local > share > Steam > steamapps > common > The Sims 4 > EP08 > Worlds > Areas

• / > home > deck > .local > share > Steam > steamapps > common > The Sims 4 > delta > EP08 > Worlds > Areas

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• PLEASE BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL EP08 FILES BEFORE REPLACING THEM.

• Sometimes when there's a patch update, the game will automatically revert back to the original EA .world files. All you have to do is replace them with the modded files again.

• This does not include a map override and will not impact any map overrides you have. The map is just a picture. The mod changes the actual playable world, meaning you have to actually load into a lot to see the changes.

• The best way to check if the world mod is working is to load into a lot on Foxbury campus, since the changes there are obvious. If the mod is working, the surrounding school buildings will not be super modern anymore.

• The world is built with Sunblind by Softerhaze.  Each .world file functions independently, so they won't impact your other worlds. This means you can have another lighting mod in Willow Creek, but Britechester will still have Sunblind lighting.
