Invisible Small Business Objects | Download

• update: 11/03/2025 | Playtested and made some QOL tweaks. Please download the new updated versions.

I created 3 invisible objects to use with the new Businesses & Hobbies small business retail system. Now you don't have to use the specific Businesses & Hobbies retail displays — you can use these invisible objects and design your build however you like.

DETAILS:

Invisible Surface
Lets sims sell any object that can go in deco slots. (Ideal for tables and shelves, but also works on the floor, as long as objects are slotted.)

Invisible Clothes Rack
Lets sims sell decorative hanging clothes.

Invisible Painting Wall
Lets sims sell paintings and other wall decor.
(I added another slot type so more wall objects will be compatible).

HOW TO USE:

• Enable cheat: bb.moveobjects on in build mode.

• Place the invisible object. They'll be blue by default.

• Place the items you want to sell on the invisible object's slots.

• Alternatively, sims can stock items in live mode if you don't care about the specific placement.

• Move the invisible object to visually align with the display of your choice.

• Use the design tool to recolour the blue object to the invisible second swatch. You can still interact with the surface even when it's invisible.

NOTES:

• Businesses & Hobbies EP is required.

• I also created an optional package that edits some of my favourite in-game paintings & posters so they can be sold with the painting wall.

• How to make more cc paintings work with the painting wall slots:
Open package in Sims 4 Studio
In the Warehouse Tab, find the Object Catalog(s)
  Search for "SlotTypeSet"
Change the number from 000[...] to 1FFC2702CC37D38F
Repeat for all Object Catalog swatches
  Save the changes!
