Next Chapter...
Just sent the latest chapter of "A Very Friendly Neighborhood" to my editor, which means it's time to pick the next chapter. Only two left in this round, so take your pick.
Gonna be a little short on this pole, because I'm hoping to have another chapter out before Christmas.

I must reluctantly admit that I cannot bring myself to enjoy “Art” the way I enjoy your other stories. One of my children is autistic; & while I realize that the character in this arc is not (simply naive & innocent) she does bare enough points of similarities that I have never been able to finish even the first chapter. None the less, I greatly enjoy your skilled story telling, & eagerly await your next offering.
Yeah, it has never been my intention to represent any of the characters in "Art" as being anything but naive and gullible. I can see how that would be difficult, and I can respect your inability to not see your child in the story... As a fellow parent, I can emphasize with you on that. The downside of realistic writing, is sometimes it gets a little too real. Sorry for that.
Looks like Art is currently leading by a smidge. 3 days left to vote!
