First Fantasies 1.08 ALPHA

Thank you for your feedback from the tests. I’m sharing the ALPHA of version 1.08 with you.

As expected, I wasn’t able to hook up all the quests I had planned, but the overall structure of this version is now in place. What remains is mainly integrating NPCs and their content so that Under Haven can finally be fully reworked.

Those who participated in the tests may not notice many major changes beyond various fixes. I’m hoping you’ll better appreciate the full impact of the rework and the animations once the BETA is released.

I’m currently aiming for the game’s anniversary—May 13th, if I’m not mistaken—and I’ll have some time off to make solid progress on it.

Changelog

• Partially reworked game introduction, now enhanced with animated sequences (more additions planned for the BETA)

• Complete overhaul of the first game area, Under Haven, including animated environments

• Added animated sprites for Tiffa, Cid, Bullet, Jessy, and Tanaka

• Added Claude, Tiffa’s boyfriend, allowing you to test party member features:

  • Companion presence during dialogues and combat

  • Additional interactions at higher affinity levels

• Added the quests “Lurking in the Darkness,” “Slums Life,” and “The Missing Man”

  • More quests are planned for the BETA, especially involving party members and their unlocks

• Added an early version of the combat system (still very basic for now)

  • The fight against Tanaka will be reworked for the BETA

• Added an outfit system

  • Tiffa’s first alternate outfit can be unlocked after defeating Tanaka

• Added the “glove” system (press G) to highlight interactive elements

  • Special thanks to HIZAEL for the idea

  • It’s not fully implemented everywhere yet, but I’ll refine it based on your feedback
