LCPT IS COMING BACK!
It's been almost exactly a year since the last LCPT release. During that time, the game got hit with 4 DMCAs and its itch.io page was taken down. I went completely into hiding because I really didn't want this entire Patreon page to disappear too. So yeah, it's been a long silence. Time to finally poke my head out of the sand
All this time I've been experimenting with different ways to bring LCPT back. I tried like 5 different concepts and approaches, but somehow kept coming back to the same formula we had a year ago. Physical interactions, experimenting with items, collecting characters, and discovering secrets. That’s the foundation we’re building on, now with our own original fantasy world and characters
Lovely Craft Pleasure Trap
New team, new engine, new style, new physics, and a dozens of fantasy mob girls to discover and collect
First of all, a slightly new name. It's now Lovely Craft Pleasure Trap. There are no more pistons in the game, or anything else from that infamous game whose name we're now legally better off not even saying out loud, just to be safe, lol
We have a new artist on the project, and together we’ve developed a more expressive, hand-drawn style. It gives each girl plenty of personality while making new characters, outfits, and animations much faster to produce. That means we can spend more time expanding the collection and giving you new things to play with
The new animation rig also removes some of the old game’s biggest restrictions. The boat is gone. Characters have much more freedom to move, and their whole bodies can respond to your interactions
I’m currently experimenting with a larger physical play area where you can move objects and the character herself around. There’s still plenty to tune, but the extra freedom already gives us a lot more room for interesting interactions
We decided to stick with the magical fantasy setting. We'll follow a typical fantasy progression, starting with the simplest level 1 green slime in the forest meadows. Here are the finished mobs I'm currently experimenting with while working on their first gameplay loops
I'm expanding the progression so you have more ways to get materials and discover new girls. You can find things while exploring locations, talk to the mobs about what they like, give them items, and pick up small quests. Some items can also be used directly in the physics scene to produce something new, so crafting won't always happen through a recipe menu
Your discoveries go into the protagonist's own bestiary. Early entries start with rough sketches and guesses about creatures he barely knows anything about. Meeting a girl and learning more about her gradually fills out her page, with a finished illustration once you unlock her. After that, you can keep adding observations about her preferences, unusual reactions, and possible variations
I also want to take the graveyard ritual from the old game much further. Each location has its own properties, and certain combinations of items, characters, and conditions can lead to new discoveries. The time of day might matter, or where you've set things up within the scene. There will be secrets to look for, too. The locations themselves are now animated and built from several layers with parallax
Different mobs will have their own variations and evolutions. To discover a Moon Slime, for example, you'll need to work out which item to use with her, where to do it, and at what time. You'll find clues through exploration, conversations, and your bestiary notes. Another version of the slime girl might even know something that helps
The idea is to give you enough information to come up with something to try, rather than make you blindly repeat the same interaction and hope something happens
Later, I'd like to add more physical crafting, starting with mixing and cooking ingredients in a cauldron. Other methods could involve the mobs themselves directly in the physics scene. Those are ideas for further development, while the first priority is getting the initial interactions and progression loop working together
The traders are getting an upgrade, too
Traders will have more personality and more to do beyond displaying a shop inventory
The plan includes conversations, requests, different poses, and outfits you can change while spending time with them. They’ll also be another source of clues about the world and the girls you haven’t met yet

Things are going really well with the reboot right now, and I can't wait to show you the first alpha version. There's still work to do, but I want you to be able to try the new physics and the first gameplay loop for yourselves

That's great To be honest, I really liked your server and your game project at first, but I strongly believe you should review your moderation team. Some months ago, I was banned completely without reason just because I blocked a moderator for personal reasons. That mod then made an excuse that "a member blocking them would hinder their administrative tasks" (which is factually incorrect regarding Discord's mechanics). More seriously, when my friend questioned them to clear things up, this mod abused their power and immediately banned my friend as well to silence the situation. Even though a few months have passed, I still decided to speak up because I don’t want your game's community to be ruined by an individual who abuses their power like this. If you read this, I really hope you can check the audit logs to handle this properly and bring justice to us. If you need to verify this, I have screenshots of the whole conversation and their banning behavior as clear evidence.

Since you're doing all new art & animation's, along with talking about more interactivity.. Plus you no longer have the visual restriction to have an angle aligned with a specific block object. Could you please consider a true PoV direction with the art. 🙏 I absolutely loved so many things about the original game. But the angle made the content always just a tease.
