Introduction :

With this tradition your sims can actually wish the birthday sim happy birthday, they get to talk about their birthday, receive texts AND as an fun add on, which will be totally optional... You can assign their birthday month or season. This is the first version of this mod, I will continue to update it later in the future.

How does it work?

First, Choose The Right Package File

I made two versions of this mod. You only need ONE VERSION. DO NOT DOWNLOAD BOTH VERSIONS. What's the difference? One requires Seasons, the other one doesn't required Seasons, just the base game.

• if you OWN Seasons EP, download: Birthdays_byannasiims package file.

• if you DON'T OWN Seasons EP, download: BirthdaysBG_byannasiims package file.

You will see 3 package files down bellow, one of them is an optional Add On! More info towards the end of the post!

Birthday's

If you own Seasons EP, you'll need to head to your calendar and decide simply decide on a day that will be your sim birthday and use the "Birthday" tradition. When the day arrives, you will click on your sim and "Assign as birthday sim" will appear. In order to complete the Birthday tradition as the non birthday sim, you need to wish them a Happy Birthday!.

There's also a "Remember Loved One's Birthday" tradition, your sim can complete this tradition by lighting a candle

If you DON'T OWN Seasons EP, you just have to click on your sim and "Assign as birthday sim", you will always have this interaction available to you in the Actions pie menu category.

and yes, you can assign as many sims as you want as the birthday sim.

Interactions

Please pay attention to what ages have certain interactions available or not.

Birthday Sim

When you click on your sim you'll see two interactions that i like to call "self interactions"

• Reminisce about life (Teen-Elder)

• Make a birthday wish (Child-Elder) : For now this will be a self interaction and for storytelling purposes. As i mentioned in the beginning of this post, i want to keep adding stuff to this mod. I want these wishes to matter.

With others:

• Complain about your birthday (Child-Elder)

• Remind it's your birthday (Child-Elder)

• Joke about getting old (Child-Elder)

• Ask parent to throw a birthday party (Child-Teen)

Birthday Texts/Post

There's a chance that your sim (Teen-Elders) receive birthday texts throughout the day from family, friends, ex, romantic, etc. If you are too impatient to wait throughout the day, you can also Check for birthday messages on your sims phone. A sim picker will appear, you will pick a sim and then you may get a notification with the "text". If you don't receive a text, it means there is no text from that sim.

If you own High School Years EP, once you have the birthday sim assigned you can make a post on Social Bunny!

Non Birthday Sims

• Wish a happy birthday (Toddlers-Elders)

• Ask what they want for their birthday (Toddlers-Elders)

• Give simoleons for birthday (Child-Elder) *For Rent Required

• Compliment birthday outfit (Child-Elder)

• Apologize for forgetting their birthday (Child-Elder) *triggered by a sim forgetting the sims birthday

Assign Birthday Month/Season - Optional Add On

Required : GenPie Menu | Ages: Infants-Elders

Last Updated: October 10th at 10:03 PM EST

This add on is totally optional, IT IS NOT necessary in order for this mod to work! You can even download this alone. I just thought it was a cute add on. You will click on your sim, go to actions and click on annasiims mods. You can choose their birthday by month (January-December) or by season (Spring-Winter). When you have two sims with their birthday month/season assigned, they will unlock an interaction "Ask when is their birthday", this is exclusive to sims who have their birthday assigned! The interaction is available for Children-Elders.
