Teaching My GF How To Paint Miniatures With Oils
Hi Patrons.
In today's video I'm teaching my gf how to use oil paints on miniatures. She has only painted two miniatures before, so you'll get to see a complete beginners experience with the medium.
I hope you'll like this casual lesson!
best regards

Wowwww really beautifully! Interesting video e very helpful suggestion for blending oils! Only one questions on brush for one color ahaha it is a lot! But I understand why! 😂 For this technique wouldn’t be useful to remove the excess of the oils with brush dipped into the white spirits? All the best Luigi
Thank you Luigi! Glad you like it! And yes - one brush per color = many brushes used. I think it's helpful though, because it shows us that the white spirit is not the same as water in acrylics. It also helps to limit the exposure to the fumes :) If there's too much paint on the model, yes - a bit of thinner is good. In this case, I think Julie had a layer that was a bit too uneven and textured. So I wanted to show that the blending brush alone can make a thin (or thick) layer smooth. I hope that answers your question mate. Thank you!
