Movie ideas for reactions

I'm considering inserting some movie reactions to break things up and bring in new viewers.

So please drop some suggestions below. Obviously I'm looking to do stuff that's relatively mainstream right now to bring in the audience, but as the channel and patreon grows I'm open to more indie or foreign-language movies.

In fact, that tends to be my taste.

Also, since I've had children (the last 14 years lol), I've been to the cinema WAY less so there's quite a lot I haven't seen.

That being said, I'm up to date on Marvel up to Endgame and a few after that.

I haven't watched a horror film in YEARS so that could be fun(ish) to do and obv horror always bangs for reactions.

So please do drop some suggestions!

Interstellar has been recommended enough already, so I want to add Arrival to the list! Incredible movie

There's an amazing Indian film called Haider that blew my mind when I first watched it. It's based on Shakespeare's Hamlet but set around the Kashmir conflict between India and Pakistan. The production value and storytelling are amazing and some really interesting socio-political messaging in it too

The Prestige would be a fun watch if he hasn't already seen it. Maybe some older DreamWorks animated movies. There is a lot in there for adults surprisingly 😂

Satoshi Kon made some of my favorite animated movies. Highly recommend Perfect Blue, it’s psychological horror. For live action I’d recommend any of Ari Asters movies, specifically Hereditary and Beau is Afraid!

Interstellar is a must watch if you haven’t already.

If Jon somehow has not watched this, it would be absolutely the best choice for the first movie reaction

Definitely recommend Sinners, anything from Jordan Peele, and the Dune films will definitely get some mainstream appeal. And I agree with holding off on the more indie stuff but lots of ideas there, Aronofsky, anything by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, absolutely tons of options even on the more horror/psychological thriller side.

Jordan Peeles movies are great. They’re not new anymore but they’re not old either and I think they could bring in some decent views. I’d recommend going in release order. Get Out, Us, Nope.

This feels like the one - horror, contemporary, popular, and lots of recommendations from my main channel too

These aren't horror movies exactly, more crime thrillers. But they can be quite scary at times (or I'm a puss): Cure (1997) is Japanese Memories of Murder (2003) is Korean I Saw The Devil (2010) is also Korean and has more of a revenge twist to it As for English language movies I love Arrival (2016) and maybe the two Dune movies. Although I feel like you've probably seen those two, they are from my favorite director so I thought I'd give them a shout. Also the two Bladerunner movies if there's a chance you haven't seen them.

Inglorious Basterds. For horror you could do Hereditary.
