AC1 Formula One 2004 v6.0 | Showcase and Development Updates

After months of continuous work, the most complete and realistic recreation of the Formula One 2004 Season for Assetto Corsa is now available.

This major update brings significant improvements to the Formula One 2004 Season mod, including enhanced physics and numerous refinements across the entire season.

Thanks to your continued support and our collaboration with the MSF team, you no longer need to download the original base version. From this point forward, The Race Project holds full rights to the complete 2004 season models, allowing us to continue developing and improving it without relying on the original version.

This gives us the freedom to refine the cars with accurate circuit-specific specifications, realistic wing movements, an improved damage system, and countless additional details that help bring the 2004 season to a whole new level of realism.

⚠️The Full 2004 Season is coming to EVO! ⚠️

The complete 2004 season is also coming to Assetto Corsa EVO very soon, complementing the existing legendary F2004 already available.

We’re currently polishing the final small details, so very soon you’ll be able to experience the complete 2004 grid in EVO, with every team and car properly represented.

Our EVO releases do not rely on Kunos assets such as tyres or driver or physics. Instead, we use improved custom assets, physics and details, including more accurate era-specific drivers, helmets and tyres.

More details and the release date coming soon.

KEY FEATURES

Featuring refreshed paintwork and updated liveries, including correctly placed Marlboro sponsors on the Ferrari, authentic Schuberth helmets for Schumacher and Barrichello, the new helmet model for Ralf Schumacher and Webber, and an improved Jaguar R5 with a more accurate Monaco livery, refined sponsor placement, and a proper British Racing Green with a layered finish that subtly shifts tone depending on the weather, a clear upgrade over the flat look of previous versions.

New livery additions include Anthony Davidson’s BAR Honda from Interlagos and the Shanghai version of the FW26. The McLaren now features all correctly placed sponsors. This update also brings all the main teams with slick tyres, different wet textures for Bridgestone and Michelin, and all the main liveries from Jaguar and Jordan remastered to the maximum level achievable in AC.

Includes the refined improvements carried over from version 4.0/5.0 — now enhanced even further.

The final touch for one of the most dominant F1 cars in history is now part of the 2004 Grid. 🏁

Michael Schumacher’s iconic 2004 Schuberth RF1 helmet has been recreated with full accuracy and is now included as part of the 2004 Season, with every detail faithfully rebuilt to match the real helmet.

I have to admit this is really cool. The only thing or I guess reason why I don’t play is because how bad the AI is and also how tedious it is to find every track for that year with the right everything. Very cool however idk if you or anyone knows this but last year this dude took a AC mod like this and ported it into F12013 and made a 2004-2005 mod and a 2008 mod for career and everything. In that game AI and stuff is very very good and still works great with wheel and pedals. If you were interested I bed you can get some of this over there too but again up to you just figured I’d say it.

I really appreciate the suggestion. Our main focus is Assetto Corsa and EVO, since they're open platforms built around modding. Even though games like F1 2013 camn look decent, they're quite outdated graphically compared to what we can achieve in Assetto Corsa/EVO. As for the AI, we've already solved many of the biggest issues, especially with the 2026 season, where it's now much more competitive and agressive, the plan is to bring those improvements to all of our other seasons over time with new versions. Regarding tracks, I'll probably add each season with its own recommended track pack in coming updates, even so for now, you can check the Championships Collection where all the links of the tracks are posted. Thanks for the feedback!

Do you suggest a complete reinstall or just let these overwrite the files? If it’s a full reinstall, the correct order is the MSF files first, then your stuff after that?

The Race Project | Assetto Corsa Mods · April 24, 2025

Yes, that's the right order for installlation, base Msf mod then drop the updated version using content manager.
