Stop making blobs!
Hey!!
Often, beginners try to add as many details as possible, hoping it will make their work look cool.
But in Low Poly, things work differently!!
Want to know what separates a beginner from a pro?
It is the ability to see the form.
✨ Fun fact
Expert character artists often define their character’s silhouettes before even opening Blender.
✨ The Silhouette Rule
Make your entire model solid black.
Can you see its shape clearly?
If it is recognizable and expressive even like that, congrats, you have created a great design!
If the silhouette turns into a messy blob, it is time to simplify and refine those lines.
Don’t be afraid of minimalism.
The cleaner the shape, the more character and style your work will have. 💖
A great model should be readable at a single glance.
Happy creating!!!

I needed to hear that. Thank you!!
I have a question I was wondering you could help me with. I have a character with a cape and long hair almost as long as the cape. How would I incorporate them into the low poly model?
