One more thing!

I want to do a fun little thing where I use some patron voices for an upcoming animation. It’s nothing major , it’s essentially the opening to Selena’s comic, which, after Sword Maiden x Rias, is the next origin comic like the one Levi just had!

I thought it would be neat to animate the intro for it as well. The full thing will still be in comic form, but the animated intro will probably clock in around 3–5 minutes.

I need some additional voices for it, and rather than just annoy the same girls I already bother for voices on the OCs and fanart , and yes, I have guy friends too, but they’ll be voicing their respective characters in future projects lol . I figured I’d ask here and see if any of you would be interested!

The actual voice work would be VERY short. I need several people, probably somewhere around 3–7 of you.

And when I say short, I mean short. We’re talking anywhere from one line to maybe 1–6 sentences at most.

“How will you use my voice?”

I can’t explain EXACTLY how I do the syncing process, because getting into the technical process would basically amount to teaching people how to use AI tools, which is a gigantic Patreon no-no.

But the important part is: I would use your actual recording as-is. I’d do normal production work on it , cleaning the audio, balancing it, etc. But I would not be changing your voice into somebody else’s voice. I’d then sync the animation I’m making to your performance.

“How do I volunteer?”

Just leave a comment saying you’re interested!

Now, there is one annoying wrinkle here:

If more people volunteer than I actually have roles for, I unfortunately cannot just randomly pick people, even though honestly that would be my preferred way of doing it because it would be the fairest.

Patreon’s rules don’t allow me to run a patron-only raffle, sweepstakes, random drawing, “pick a number,” or anything else where people are selected by chance.

So I literally cannot just throw everyone’s names in a hat and pick five people.

Instead, if I get more volunteers than I have spots, I’ll just have to treat it like very casual casting and choose whichever voices seem to fit the particular characters/lines I have available.

That does NOT mean “who has the best voice” or “who sounds the most professional.” Some of these might need a specific age range, tone, accent, attitude, deeper voice, higher voice, etc. It’ll just be whatever fits what I’m making.

And if I don’t use you this time, please don’t take it as me not wanting to! If this goes well and nobody gets mad, I’d absolutely like to do this again with future animations and rotate more people in. :)

“How would I get the recording to you?”

A normal recording sent through Discord would probably be easiest.

If you have a decent microphone or a proper recording setup, awesome! That’s obviously preferable.

But you absolutely do not need professional hardware. A phone recording is perfectly fine as long as it’s reasonably clean and you’re okay with me doing some audio cleanup before I use it.

“What would I say?”

Once I know what role I want to use you for, I’ll give you the lines, explain the context, and tell you the kind of demeanor/delivery I need.

I’m deliberately not giving away what the lines are here because I don’t want to spoil what happens in Selena’s intro. :)

This is really just meant to be a fun way to involve some of you directly in one of the animations.
