Song 5: The Things That Make You Scream (Cover)

I have a secret, can you keep it. : )

So, upon this journey of mine I like, had to think really hard about if I was going to do covers or not. See, I worried that once I started doing covers, people might know me as a cover singer, and that would be a hard label to shake. Then people might stop being interested in my original music and just wanna hear the hits they recognize.

But I am a big ol' softie when it comes to music. It is an incredibly important medium to me, one I could not, without exaggeration, live without. And without all of the hundreds if not thousands of bands I listen to, I would never have started doing it myself and I could not function as a person lol.

Seriously though. I am an incredibly boring person as I feel like the most exciting adventures of my life I've already had, despite the fact that I'm pretty young relative to uh, most people I cohort with. I work, I exercise so I don't go crazy, I write RP posts for the Rave RP, talk to the friends I've made through it, and I go to as many concerts as I can. I will move Heaven and Earth to make sure I can attend concerts I want to go to lol.

Why am I telling you this? Well. Respect. My music is doing well! It ebbs and flows, but 100k listens for a debut song is fucking nuts for anyone. I haven't released anything lately because I've been in my head and also because animation is crazy crazy time consuming, but I have this and an original Levi song finished. This one is done being mixed and mastered, so it's up to bat first.

I will continue to do covers here and there, just won't let it overtake Levi's original songs. But without the stuff that inspires me, I am not me. So with as much reverence and care and effort as I possibly can, I will do covers like this here song, "The Things That Make You Scream" by Memory of a Melody, a favorite of mine. (This is a safe assumption if I'm going to put the effort into covering the dang thing.)

I've got like 6–7 more in mind that I think I can do justice to. You may know the songs, you may not. But this is me trying my lil' heart out to do it justice!
