Let's talk about canon really quick
I hate that I'm having to do this because it's ruining a massive surprise I had for you guys for Christmas, but I've talked to enough people in my "focus" group that I think it could raise potential issues if I don't talk about with you guys first.
So, for Christmas other than the OC comic (which is still my primary focus right now) I was going to do a fun canon epilogue of Marin, Tifa, Eve, and Yor. The idea being they were all hanging out on Christmas Eve talking about the year and what not, and then eventually, CONSENSUALLY BETWEEN ALL PARTIES, swapping partners for a night. Not an NTR thing, not cheating, a fun extension of trust between a group of friends exploring a fun extracurricular activity. It wasn't going to change the status for any of them and was purely an almost "swinging" thing.
I have a focus group of like 7 subs I talk to about major projects before I make things to make sure what I'm doing will resonate with you guys. And with almost all of them they saw the potential issue of it cheapening the stories I've already made. I can't express how deeply I do not want to do that, considering the time and energy I've dedicated to making those comics.
So, I'm really bummed out. But I want to talk about it. On one hand, it was just a fun little short mini-comic for fun (where again, all parties concerned are aware of whats happening and are all about it ). And so an intention of my "artistic vision" for the story, as it were. On the other hand, those comics only happened as the result of votes from you guys. Basically you made the pair, and I did the best within my ability to make them work. And I did an ok job. :) But I do not want to walk things back and cheapen the stories I've made.
So what do I do here? Something like this makes it difficult for me to pull surprises like I wanted to do, which really sucks. On the other hand, I don't want to step on the toes of anyone that likes the stories for what they are so far without a little bit of fun "fanservice" on the end. But let's talk about this sort of thing and why you might like it, or not. I need to know because if we hard lock in couples like this, I have to be aware of it so I'm careful with what I do in the future. The Morrigan / Albedo comic for example, was not going to be a hard monogamous story like the other ones were. (And come on, with succubi as the subjects hopefully no one was expecting that xP ).

I know I'm very late to the conversation, but if you're still taking input I'd recommend Letting the characters talk it through over time. So long as everyone involved is talking and genuinely adjusting based on their SO feedback, the audience should be able to make the adjustment too. Could also have a quick scene if you make it clear its somebody's day dream (I'm sure the resident succubus imagines all kinds of pairings that never actually happen.
Hey. I see a lot has already been written given the timezone difference. So sorry for the late answer. That being said, I do see pros and cons to both sides. Hard-locking the pairs will deepen the emotional bonds and allow for a more “natural” evolution of the relationship. Meanwhile it limits the potential of really good interactions and some “out of the box” creations that certainly might be worth exploring. Not that I’m saying anything that you don’t know already for sure. Trying to be constructive here. I already feel bad enough for good old Loid. He’s someone I liked a lot from spy family and seeing Yor interaction with the other three characters, including him, in your comic was not something I expected. So this makes me to be slightly biased towards the option of trying to maintain certain “status-quo” without mixing and matching more than you’ve already done. I’d admit that the prospect of mixed pairs is really enticing (erotically speaking I mean), and I’m sure that is something that could be well managed with the proper setup. But still… I think I’d prefer to try and get the couples as stable as possible. Not that the alternative would be catastrophic or anything. Maybe you will hate me for saying this (I would hate myself given that I DO know how hard is to manage that technically), but a good compromise could be something like a foursome… some scenario in which all the involved parties agree, and enjoy together.
I think at this point the message appears to be that while some people have some hesitation, it's only wrapped up in if it's done wrong. I have a plan for how to do it that's fun, sexy, and of course in good spirits for everyone involved. So I'm confident in what I'm gonna do.
Late to the party but personally I dont think this would cheapen any of the relationships that you have created with such finesse. It can be constructed in different ways that eventually leads to them swapping for a night and as you've already pointed out, it's not a NTR or revenge thing. You do you girl, we are already here because we trust and like your stuff
Intresting, well i wouldent say it would cheapen the story at all. Or the love these characters had for one another...dont take it the wrong way when i say this...but its not like weve had a whole SEASON of them trying to get together, if that makes sense. If we saw more of the like idk the struggle they went through to be together then i could understand like damaging the relationships but as far as im aware the only other comic we have seen of a couple is Marin and Yor. (Strap in btw cause im a rambler when it comes to me making a point) now if were talking about like HOW this orgy of beatiful women happen. Well thats another question. Maybe truth or dare would make sense,like they are all really good friends it seems and like i mean lets be honest EVERYONE is involved in this orgy lol like no one is sittting it out so i mean everyone has fun, and i mean you could make it a dream sequence if we dont wanna go canon with it, i think you wouldent hurt your artistic vision with this at all like yeah we loved the couples we came up with but were not a MHA fanbase where we wanna burn you at the stake for messing with our ships 😂. And for an idea just maybe have like idk eve trying to find other ways to please tifa and marin and yor are like "bet we got you twin". Ima stop here but if you require more insight let me know like i said. I can cook (if i did) when i want too🫡
Maybe they just all play a game of drunken twists with spiked eggnog and just let their emotions come loose when they get all twisted in front of the Christmas tree! 🤪

to me it feels like a slippery slope where both sides bring good points, where it shows trust between the couples but could also cheapen relationships and make them not seem as meaningful. but in all honestly it truly depends on how you play your cards with that, what I could potentially see happening is they do swap partners and then indulge in a foursome, but that’s my two cents on this take

Mostly everybody here has pretty much already said the same thing and I’m here to say it again. Your focus group said it might cheapen the relationships, I respectfully disagree. In my humble opinion, this would not cheapen but strengthen the relationship between these couples. It strengthens them because it shows the sheer amount of trust and faith in each other these couples have that they would not only suggest but encourage such a act and that committing said act would not dampen the love they have for each other in the slightest. And it would also strengthen the friendship between these couples. To explain what I mean, let’s say Marin suggests the swap. She not only trusts that it wouldn’t effect the love she and Yor have for each other but that it also wouldn’t effect the love that Tifa and Eve have for each other and that none of them would develop feelings for whoever they swapped with. In short, would not cheapen anything, so go for it.
What they say isn't gospel to me. I take all feedback I get with a grain of salt unless it's something super glaring. For the most part, when I decide on a storyline or a set or what have you, there isn't a whole lot that can be done to stop me from doing it, IF i think you guys will like it. this was a special circumstance where I was getting a lot of feedback that this maybe wasn't a great idea. Which is why I brought it forward before I decided on doing it. In hindsight, I kinda wish I had just made it and surprised everyone with a fun thing! But I'm also glad that I'm getting everyone's opinions because it's still very helpful. "We trust you to do this right." Is a good thing for me to keep going forward. It means I can trust my intuition more and just make sure that I treat the things I do with respect when it comes to the bigger projects. Obviously we can get a little silly with the weeklies. What you're saying is along the lines of what was going through my head for this. Built on trust as a friend group, and consent between all parties. So it's good to see that what I had going through my head *generally* you all seem to be ok with. xP
I welcome the idea of this epilogue. It may not be a big surprise anymore but if you do choose to release it or not, I support whatever decision you choose. You can’t please everyone so trust your instincts.

Polyamory is a fun idea, but hard to do in reality. Don't be too hard on yourself, you've made beautiful pairings and we, your fans, trust you to bring out the best of these characters.

Honestly I liked the idea of them sharing for even one night. When you posted a few weeks ago the girls together with a guy, the Yor and Eve kissing between a lucky guy made me interested in seeing more of them together but that’s my opinion and I understand you want to keep their relationships canon.
While I can see how it *could* be a problem, it's all in how it's delivered that makes the difference. I trust that you will make it work so that it fits thematically 😉 if you've had the idea floating around in your head, you obviously have plans for how it could work and make sense. Given the level of detail that goes into everything you do, I trust you will do it right ❤️
Go for it. Why not? Introduces a new dynamic and *BIG* maybe, we can get some foursomes in the future. I know threes are hard to manage but who knows what might happen 🤷🏽♂️
I will have to agree with your focus/advice group and disagree with the majority. I personally think it could lessen the intimacy and romance that currently exists between the couples. It might become less meaningful. I will admit though, if written smartly, it could possible work out very well. But please, just create what you want to.
Hey thanks for not being afraid to speak up with a differing opinion! Something I always say is I can't please everyone with everything I do. Eventually I'm going to make something that maybe isn't your vibe or doesn't ring with you 100%. I obviously kinda of thought that the thoughts on this would be different, which is why I asked. And having other perspectives like yours gives me things to consider. Ultimately, I do want to make the thing. Otherwise I wouldn't have agonized over this. I can assure you that something like this, while of course I would want to make sexy. I would also want to make smartly. :)
First let me say “thank you” for considering our opinions on your vision. ;) As I stated on X and as others have said, I think such a story would NOT cheapen your relationship parings. You can make it a “What If” and play a parallel universe. But if you’re sticking with canon, I can see where it’s difficult from a story perspective. But if you read a lot of plots, consent is a key and if they had a holiday trist or swigging swap of partners, it doesn’t take away from the relationship of the characters or the story. In some cases, it can make the relationships more meaningful. Trust in your main story to carry the fan base, side storylines are just added fun! American comic books do it all the time. How many times have you seen superhero’s have relations with other superhero. 🤣 As I mentioned, everything to gain, nothing to lose. Can’t wait to see your new holiday creations! 🥰
I think ultimately I can toss it out if people hate it. I mean thats a Nuclear option, but it's there. But if people are trusting me to do this right. Then i think I have a way to do it. : )
"cheapening the stories" is certainly in the eye of someone reading it, not the author. If you want a certain storyline, and it sounds like you do, then most of us will accept it at face value! Go for it!
As others have already stated I personally don't feel like it cheapens the relationship as it currently sounds. There's no malicious intent and they're all consenting, so I see nothing wrong with this personally, and would actually like to see this project come to fruition. I also wouldn't want your work to be stifled by locking you into specific pairings, but do what you feel is right.
*SIGH*. I think you're right and I think something like this probably the prevailing opinion. I *do* want to make it. I just was concerned it might blow up in my face! Dx UGH, ah well. Better to ask and be sure then roll the dice and be wrong. xP
Hii I like your ideas and I enjoy the content you provide. Being dressed in sexy clothing, imo, is more sexy than bare naked. What I would really like to see is a bit more transparency in their sexy outfits. Hints of no bra or commando would be incredibly yummy. Please grant my wish! <3

Like other comments I read, I wouldn't have any issue with a night partner swap/swinging, you could even do a few pages epilogue to show that each couple (yor/marin & tifa/eve) still love their partner the most. Or, you could make it a 'What if" storyline, where the characters arrived at different times than the main storyline, so yor & eve arrived first and got together, and then tifa & marin arrived and got together, so they're still monogamous, just a different timeline. And you could end it with the couples walking past each other and the canon couples sneak a glance and wonder what could have been or something. Either way works, I think overall the fans/subs would enjoy this christmas special.
Thank you for the input. I do need to consider "what ifs" I think more than I want to as more girls get tangled up lol. Otherwise it's going to make my life incredibly difficult and potential really neat pairings hard to do.
as some have said already, I don't believe this would cheapen the relationship between the four of them. it's sweet you're concerned about this, and your core group does have a point. better to be doubly sure and do the right thing. to be honest the fear is justly understandable, as there have been a MASSIVE influx of NTR doujinshi/manga/comics recently which ruin the purity of some relationships (fuck those ppl seriously...) just go with your gut Levi, the majority of us here trust your instincts =)
Yeah and once you start going the NTR/cheating route that becomes like, your thing. I don't ever want to explore that type of thing because it's done to death, and very few focus on a meaningful relationship. At least in our space. It's all futa and NTR lol. And sigh. My instincts were telling me initially this was a fun idea, and then after talking to people i started to doubt it. And now Im getting the sentiment people LIKE the idea and I ruined the surprise. >.<
First of all, I think that in the world of comics there are a number of possibilities. I don't agree with your focus group, since I personally find it boring to see Marin and Yor together all the time. That means that in your world they're already a fixed couple with no flexibility. I'm not comparing or anything like that, but I saw some scenes of Marin with Chika Fujiwara that were really good, something I don't see here. I've also seen other scenes with Eve vs. Samus, Eve vs. Boa Hancock, or even Eve vs. Marin by other creators that are spectacular. For me, it's also very boring to see Tifa with Eve, especially since Eve is one of the waifus of the moment, and in Levi's universe she's only ever paired with such an ordinary character as Tifa. That doesn't seem right to me. Honestly, I'm surprised you're focused on a focus group when in other posts you've said you like to experiment and do new and interesting things. Now, with this comment, it seems more like you're working for a group of investors or sponsors than for yourself, and that's disappointing. Anyway, I already gave you my opinion on the matter; I'd love to see Eve and Marin doing some really hot and dirty things in the Leviverse!!!
This is my job, and while I have fun doing it need to be mindful of the things I do. A focus group isn't "investors", it's subs just like you I chose at random to get a microcosm of sentiment among my subs and how they may react to things. I am not any other creator, I am me. And while I have fun creatively I also enjoy paying my bills and retaining and pleasing the people I have so they keep coming back for my stuff. I do a mix of both what I want to do, and things that people want to see. And when it comes to measuring that success, no one else who does yuri comes *close* to what I've managed to accomplish here. My intuition on what is going to land is sometimes wrong, and so a focus group helps bring me back to reality if I'm thinking too random or esoteric. Honestly dude, you don't seem at all pleased to be here lately. And I'd appreciate if you wouldn't make a comment like "working for a group of investors" in the future as I have always aimed to be high quality and please my people as a whole over just a few. It has a purpose that is beyond personal opinion of one and more an amalgamation of what everyone is probably thinking.
I like the idea. In the Tifa and Eve comic, it was shown that they were all mutual friends so wanting to swap partners for 1 night of extracurricular fun, I don't think it would cheapen the stories. But if the story took a turn where they swapped partners to "get revenge" for being mad or upset, that would cheapen it.
I don't have any plans in the future of doing anything concerning cheating/ outright malicious behavior like that in my comics. So rest easy there haha. I have no interest in NTR/cheating stories as a focal point.

Diff strokes for diff folks. I can see both why it would bother someone , and also not really minding. I just want to see what the general consensus is, because I almost made the mistake once of including Loid in the Yor X marin thing and when I put that to a poll it was a MASSIVE downvote in a way I didn't anticipate. I'm just trying to address things with my people, that's all. : )
