A "good captain" cheats to get his end, winning against Khan with a blunt object. Maybe not quite the same as going down with the ship, because that is more of a loyalty to the crew. Philosophicalized observation: the mission first, people second, or the other way around? The concept of Spock was ironic in the first place and we can never get away, if we are honest, of the generally logical view of "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few". But this statement is more of an emergency view; as you pointed out enterprise under a federation is supposed to be a positive thing and not survivalism.
Angela I’m a huge Star Trek fan, I love all of these so much! Would love to see videos on TOS, DS9, and VOY or really any ST topic, as with this video, you always highlight something for me I hadn’t considered or have lots of really interesting things to say. Tbh, I feel like the vast majority of content discussing ST is two dudes talking about it, and while they can be very good, I CRAVE hearing other women discuss Trek. I feel like that’s how we get a video that cuts the “Geordi being a creep” episode to accurately convey how effed up that episode is (and you didn’t even have to mention the part where THE SHOW HAS LEAH APOLOGIZE TO HIM for being AWFUL!! 😑)

Nothing gives me the ick more than corporations utilizing the copyright strike system to shut down all of the discourse, you are clearly not redistributing the movie.
I'm confused, this is clearly fair use. Are you countering this strike? You shouldnt have to spend the time to do that...
Unfortunately, a lot of concerns in the '80s made their way into the script.
