The Tier List: Blue Dredge Matchup Rankings
Greetings, fellow Dredge enthusiasts! I bring you an updated analysis of the matchups for Blue Dredge. Last week, I shared a complete sideboard map exclusively with my Patreon supporters. To provide you with a clearer understanding, I've categorized each matchup into different tiers based on my win rates piloting Blue Dredge:
Tier S: Dominant matchups with a win rate above 70%
Tier 1: Solid matchups, ranging from a 55% to 70% win rate
Tier 2: Fairly even matchups, with win rates falling between 45% and 55%
Tier 3: Challenging matchups, where win rates range from 30% to 45%
Tier 4: Difficult matchups, with win rates below 30%
If you find yourself struggling against any of the top-tier matchups, don't worry! I'm currently working on an in-depth sideboard guide that will provide winning strategies against every deck in the Legacy format. Considering you suffer spell based combo decks a lot, isn't it worth trimming on graveyard hate (like the two faerie macabre) to add a couple of Mindbreak traps?
It all depends on the metagame. These two slots used for Faerie Macabre are flexible. Initially, they were occupied by 2x Force of Negation. However, with Reanimator and Cephalid Breakfast decks being everywhere currently, I switched FoN to Faerie Macabre. If Storm decks become more popular again, Mindbreak Trap would be an excellent addition. Even Flusterstorm would be a good card as it would be useful against some other decks as well.
