Dredge Horizons: New Plans for the Channel, Articles, and Community in 2025!
Hello, everyone! I'm planning to expand my content creation efforts this year. This Friday marks the first anniversary of my YouTube channel, and I want to use this milestone to kick off a new schedule for videos and articles.
I'll share my plan with you, and I'm open to suggestions!
The main update is that I'll start posting 3 new videos per week, beginning in February. To meet this goal, I'll have a proper schedule, recording videos one week in advance to allow enough time to edit them properly.
The channel's videos will be published on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On average, I'll dedicate one video to Legacy, one to Modern, and the third video will have a flexible theme—it could cover a Challenge, another format, or even a unique experiment in Legacy or Modern.
I'll publish a new article every Sunday, aligned with the themes of the recent videos. For example, if I’m playing a new version of Legacy Dredge, that week’s article will update the deck's sideboard guide. If I’ve created a new competitive Modern Dredge list, the article will dive deep into those ideas. When the metagame is more settled, it’ll be the perfect time to expand on complete guides for each deck (like I’m currently doing for Satoru Turbo Dredge in Legacy).
With the expansion of content creation, soon we'll have plenty of videos and articles covering different Dredge decks across various formats. Because of this, it might make sense to create a Discord page for our community, as many of you suggested last year. We could also set up menus on Patreon to categorize content more specifically, making it easier for members to find both new and older materials.
This will also make communication easier, as not everyone is comfortable using Patreon's chat feature, while most people are already familiar with Discord.
If you have your own ideas, please share them in the comments below! Nothing is set in stone—we can come up with new possibilities together.
Today, we'll have a new Modern video on the channel. I’m preparing a special video for Friday featuring the same deck I played a year ago—Legacy Blue Dredge.
Keep dredging!

As a person who hasnt played magic in many years and just recently picked it up again, I am mainly interested in articles related to the metagame, sideboard cards, and what graveyard hate to expect. As I will be playing a tournament this weekend, I plan on making an overview for myself, of potential graveyard hate I might encounter, and which anti-graveyard to play against this in my sideboard. Perhaps an article on this topic would be useful—not just covering current-meta graveyard hate, but a broader look at all potential graveyard hate we might encounter (also when the meta slightly shifts, like how now Leyline is played more often since the recent bans) and for each graveyard hate, what are good sideboard options against it (including an effectiveness rating?). This could be updated over time to keep it up to date with new cards coming out. Such an article would be very useful for people to tailor their sideboard to the local metagame.
