Behind the Scenes: Building a Tier 1 Dredge Deck - Updates and Insights!

Hello everyone! Time for this week's updates!

You may have noticed that I’ve been posting more videos than usual this week. I’ve already uploaded 3 full videos on YouTube, and there are 2 more currently in the editing process. If you missed any of them, here they are.

My goal is to document the process of creating and refining a deck for you, playing through 5 leagues in a row. These aren't "handpicked" leagues; they are truly 5 consecutive leagues connected by the small tweaks I make to the deck after each one.

Normally, this kind of deck refinement would be a private process, and I'd only reveal the new deck once I had achieved a significant result with it. This time, however, I’m doing things differently: I’m showing you the entire process of crafting and tweaking the deck!

I feel that by doing it this way, I can gain a deeper understanding of each new deck, rather than constantly switching between different ones. My previous idea of playing 2 or 3 different formats per week simply isn’t practical for building competitive decks. It requires more research and testing.

So, this week I’m diving into a new Legacy deck that’s testing out a unique combination of various elements and finishers in the main deck. Anger? Satoru? Thassa’s Oracle? Ox of Agonas? Basic Islands? It’s all in there!

At the end of the 5 videos, I’ll be posting a sideboard guide for this new deck here on Patreon, and then I’ll also start focusing on other decks and formats. This way, we can dive deep into each one without losing great ideas along the way.

I wanted to maintain a daily video schedule, but it’s a lot of work doing everything on my own — all the recording, editing, promoting, and setting things up on YouTube takes about 4 to 5 hours per video, and I still work regularly as a teacher. That’s why I’m aiming to release a new video every two days or so, or even sooner when possible.
