Episode 8 - Progress Report #2
Hey everyone
This week, I've been pretty busy with some final touch-ups and preparations for the Steam release on the 25th, but I did get some writing done as well. I'm not sure if I'll manage to finish the first draft before Tuesday, but it doesn't really matter too much either way. I'm feeling very motivated to write right now, which is the most important ingredient to making progress when writing 馃槉. So we'll see how distracting the Steam release will be, but I'm optimistic I can get some things done. I'm currently writing the last scene(s) of day 3 (out of 4 days total).
I also wanted to give a quick shoutout and big thank you to the people who helped me test the Steam version in the last couple weeks. They did catch a lot of things that I missed, so you can thank them for a well polished release. Now, I want to talk a little bit about where Eruption Imminent is going towards, especially in terms of relationships, romance, dating, pregnancy, and ultimately the endings of the game. Don't worry, no spoilers here. I occasionally see some speculation about these things, so I thought I'd clear up some points to avoid giving you false expectations.
The core element of Eruption Imminent is our protagonist Ashe finding herself and her footing in life. It's a coming of age story that lets you choose who Ashe will become. Her core personality (most prominently defined by the chosen main route), her romantic, sexual and platonic relationships, and a bunch of story decisions (which you'll see more of in the coming episodes) all contribute to the path your protagonist will find herself on. So, lets address some points:
Timeframe: The story will take place within a couple of in-game weeks/months. There won't be any huge time skips.
Relationships: The story is deliberately set up in this period of Ashe's life where she's finding herself, and is trying things out when it comes to love and sex. There won't be any classic relationship paths in the sense of choosing a girl to become Ashe's sole girlfriend. For the remainder of the game, Ashe will be a "free bird", and not tying herself down to anybody. There will of course still be love and romance, but just not in the frame of a monogamous relationship.
Pregnancy: The idea of pregnancy/birth control was introduced in Episode 7. I've seen some comments here and there, that assume that this will now play a major part in the coming episodes. That is NOT the case. Impregnation themes will play a relatively minor role in the story. And with the in-game timeframe of the story, you can also guess that there won't really be any visible pregnancy for Ashe or any of her love interests.
Now, all of the above points are true for the vast majority of the game. Basically until it comes to wrapping up the story in the final episode or so. From then on, any of the above might not necessarily be true anymore. I have a bunch of different endings planned, which will include some monogamous paths and pregnancy as well. There will be time skips there, and you can consider those things proper endings/epilogues to the game. Basically, your choices up to that point will define what kind of ending you'll get. I won't talk about endings too much, since I think those are best left unspoiled and for you to eventually discover. They will be dependent on Ashe's main route, her relationships, and some important story decisions as well. One more detail: You can pursue multiple girls now and still end up with a proper monogamous ending for a single girl later, if you so choose.
I also want to make it clear that Eruption Imminent will conclude Ashe's story. There won't be any sequels with her as the protagonist.
I hope that clears some things up. I've seen some speculations and expectations for how the story will develop, so I figured I'll make things a bit more transparent here.

I want to see Natasha the cop balls deep in Ashe
I'm eagerly awaiting the Steam release and the upcoming episodes; I hope there's more content featuring Delilah, I want to finish my game with her, I love her.
Unless it involves another duplo I don't feel that a monogamous relationship would be fair to Ashe as she would constantly have to suppress part of herself, perhaps a mono-fem thruple would be a better option.

Would love another game set in same world after you finish ashes story
would be awesome. Maybe follow one of the existing characters.
As long as you make another game that has futa/female protagonist after the end of this one with nothing force im still on board

Hi MR, thanks for the update and clarifications. What can I say...for me - and I imagine for many of us who are here, following and supporting you - Ashe's story is very engaging. Everyone has their reasons, of course...for me, the fact that it's first and foremost a coming-of-age story with all these details makes it extremely interesting and also raises so many questions. Curiosity would push me to ask a lot about it...but then the desire to be excited by discovering where this story鈥攚ith your narrative flair鈥攚ill take us is holding me back. Would love to see Ashe and Moira be a path option at some point.
It will be very sad to see Ashe's story come to an end, but I am very excited to see what new surprises await in Episode 8 and the second season of *Eruption Imminent*.

MorriganRae Dear author, I hope to see the new plot updates of Ashe and Vanessa in the second season (eight episodes), which would be great because I know Vanessa really likes Ashe. I hope the plot of the author's work becomes more and more exciting and excellent. You have worked hard, author.

Will the whole story conclude in season 2 or just for Ashe? I hope there will be more Eruption Imminent in the future.
Eruption Imminent is Ashe's story. So that'll conclude at the same time. If there will be future projects in the same world, we'll see. It's too early to talk about that right now.
