Scam Alert (Do Not Click Links Posted By Fake Sleyca)
I'm sorry to send out a message that isn't a chapter and get people excited, but it looks like someone has started impersonating me and posting comments with a fake Sleyca Author account, including a link to supposed free merch.
I'm trying to make sure this person is banned right now.
In the past day, I have not replied to anyone's old comments with links for anything. There is no t-shirt or "mystery box" or whatever else they might have promised. I'll make a big official post if I'm ever doing something like that, not reach out to individuals via comments. I'm very sorry to anyone who was tricked or disappointed by this. If you gave your important details to the scammer, please be aware that this was not me and take steps to protect yourself.
As for the chapter, I'm working on it! I currently expect it to be either late tonight or midday tomorrow.

Ok let me say I really enjoy the story, but I feel like this arc has gone a bit off the rails and this twist was unexpected and a bit too meta. I appreciate the early chapter and i won't add to the inevitable chorus of people complaining about it's length.

I blame the scammer for the delayed chapter; they wasted the true Sleyca's precious time having to deal with it and post this.

They did put me in a mood, I admit. People here are so friendly, and I do sometimes hide things like gift links in old chapters, so the scam might have looked more legit because of that. I hate the idea of people thinking they're talking to me about a fun surprise like that, and then it's some creep instead.
I noticed fake Sleyca! I was so excited I got a reply to a comment. I knew it was fake, and the comment was deleted, but my heart wanted more Soup content, however small… Thank you for the update! \o/
