Game Key Distribution Form Sent!
With Changeling Tale's release around the corner, we've begun preparations to distribute the game keys to everyone here! Here's what that entails:
If you are a current patron, you should have received a message in your Patreon inbox containing a link to a three-question form. Once it's filled out and submitted, you'll be all set to receive the Steam or Itch game key of your choice on launch day, December 27!
If you are not a current patron but pledged in the past at $3/month or more, please message me here and I will make sure you also receive a link to the form to arrange your game key reward.
As of today, the pledge reward of the Changeling Tale game key has been removed from the $3 and $10 tiers (it will still be a reward for the $25 Beta Tester Tier for the time being!). We're planning on using the launch as an opportunity to make some adjustments to the tier and reward structure of the campaign, so stay tuned for more info as we approach 2024!
The game will be launched on December 27, but that's not the end of Changeling Tale! There will still be plenty more original art, stories, music, and future chapters for Malcolm and his transformative adventures. Watsup, Little Librarian, CheasyDino, and I will all continue to work hard weaving the tales (tails?) of Ach-na-Creige, and we hope you join us on the journey!
2024 will be the year of Rowan, the dragon TFTG romance voted for by you, the patrons—and I can't think of a better way to celebrate the incredible support you all have given us! In the meantime, be sure to fill out and submit those forms, and it won't be long before you'll be playing the official release of Changeling Tale!
Thank you all so incredibly much!

I humbly request a form for the game key!
Hey there! Sorry about the delay, it should be in your Patreon Direct Message Inbox now!
Can I get the form for the game key sent to me please?
It has been a while since I was a beta tester and I just heard about the stories completion, but I don't know if I am eligible for key still since I had to leave. Either way congrats and on making the game and happy holidays.
You are still eligible, I'll direct LN to your reply here!
I haven't heard anything
I'm I still able to fill the form for a key?
I’m been here awhile so does that mean I’ll get a steam key?
I just sent your Steam key to your Patreon Direct Message inbox! Thanks so much for supporting us all this time!
I have returned and appreciate the generosity to those that have showed support in the past. Whenever you get the chance to send a key is fine, enjoy the holidays. :)
Thanks so much Seren! You should have the form in your Patreon Direct Message inbox now - Happy Holidays to you as well!
Hello, I pledged in the past at $3/month for a while and I came back now. Can I too receive the link to the form? Thank you, and I wish you Merry Christmas!
Absolutely! Merry Christmas to you as well!
Anyone having problems playing the demo on their phones from itch?
I've been a $3 patron for a while, but never got a message for the form. Is it still possible to get one?
This is super strange, Relexstran-- while everyone else's Patron Messages system has been working smoothly, specifically yours prompts a loading circle to infinitely spin! The message I sent a few weeks back must have gotten sucked into the void :( I've sent the message with the form to your email address on file with Patreon just now, hopefully it goes through! (You may need to check spam; that's one of the reasons we were trying to manage key distribution through Patron Messages this time)
Hey! I joined again, but I've been on and off pledging beta tier since the early days of the game, do I still get name in the credits/ A game key? So exited for Changing Tale to finally release!
Absolutely to both! You should find the form for the key in your Patreon message inbox now!
I don't have a computer yet that can run this game
Changeling Tale should be able to run on most laptops and PCs, but in their absence you can also play the Itch.io version on your Android phone!
Hi, I'm a $3 patron now. Can I get a link?
Sure thing! It should be in your Patreon message inbox now!
Hello, I was a £8.50 Patreon (I think thats the $10 one for the US) for a few months in the past. I had to cancel for a little due to financial reasons. I heard the game is gaining it's full release and I don't want to miss out. Am I able to get a key? Itch prefered? Thanks!
Of course! You should have the form to arrange for your key on release day in your Patreon message inbox now!
Used to be patron for a few months, hopefully I can get one key.
Absolutely! You'll find the link to the form in your Patreon message inbox!
I believe I paid 3+ in the past. May I grab a key?
Yes! In your Patreon message inbox you'll find a link to the form to arrange receipt of the key on release day!
I used to be a 3$ or so patron, can I get a form?
Certainly! The link to the form should be in your Patreon message inbox now!
Can I get a form too? I was a beta tester for a few months.
Absolutely! You should find the link to the form in your Patreon message inbox now. Thanks so much for all your support!
Hi, I was one of the higher tier’s in the past, can I please get a link as well?
You bet! The link to the form should be in your Patreon message box now!
First of all, congrats! Said that, I didn't receive the form 😅
Thanks Pablo! You should have the form now in your Patreon message inbox!
Hmm I don't think I see the form anywhere
That's odd - it looks to have gone through on my end! I tried sending a followup - let me know if you can see it! It should be under "Community," "Direct Messages."
Hi, I was a $10 patreon in the past. Can I get a link, please? And congrats on making the game to release!
Absolutely, and thanks a bunch! The link should be in your Patreon message inbox now!
I was a $3 patron in the past.Can I get a link?
Absolutely! Should be in your Patreon message inbox now!
I was able to become Beta Tester Tier. Does this mean I'm qualified to get the game key?
Yes, he'll send you a form as soon as he's able to! :B
Cannot wait for the full release. It has been an honour supporting you and the team. Eager to see the rest coming out next year :P
Cheers, Cedric! Yeah, we're super excited to start sharing Rowan's chapters, too!
Still available for someone who made a contribution today?
With the launch just around the corner, we're no longer offering the game key reward at lower tiers - but the reward is still available for past patrons and for newcomers at the Beta Tester tier!
Hi, just wondering if the steam release would be steam deck compatible?
It should be! Several fans have tried the Early Access on Steam Deck and haven't encountered any issues!
I was a 3$ patreon in the past. May I get a link?
Sure thing! You should have a message in your Patreon message inbox now!
Form done, just out of curiosity, is grace's beta release still gonna be a thing or is that just being rolled into the finished thing
We'd been planning to do a Beta Build release but with the launch fast approaching, we might not have time! If we do manage to squeeze in a build, it would come just before launch.
I was also a $3 patron in the past could I get a link?
Sure thing! It should be in your Patreon message inbox now.
I've been a $10 sub for close to a year and did not get the form yet.
Hi Wolfof365! That's odd - it looks like the message went out to you this morning! I left another message in your Patreon message inbox, let me know if you can see it!
didn't receive a form yet
It's looking like a handful of Patrons are being flagged as on the Free tier despite being currently pledged! I'm not sure how Patreon mucked that up, but I will make sure to send you the form in your Patreon messages. Sorry about this!
I'll have to draw a Chinese Dragon Rowan when the Chinese New Year comes around
Oh wow, 2024 being the year of the dragon? That's providence! Poor Effie, missing out on the spotlight this year :c (Noodle Rowan sounds very powerful)
I'm excited for the full release of the game and the future that lays ahead.
Us too Lord Hef, us too! :D
I was a 3$ sub in the past but I hadn't received the form
Sure thing! You should have a message now!
Sorry for bothering, but I didnt receive the form aswell. (Grassy_pile on discord)
I'll message you here on Patreon!
What do I do if I have a crome book
Unfortunately we don't officially support ChromeOS, Samuel! There may be a way to get it to work by either installing Linux on your machine or installing the Android APK with your machine in developer mode, but both require some technical knowhow to get working. If you do decide to try, the Itch.io key is the option for you - but I would recommend using a PC or phone to play the game instead!
I'm also a sub and didn't get the form, thanks 😁
That's odd - it looks like it was sent from my end! I left another message in your Patreon message inbox, let me know if you can see it!
I am so excited for this release :D also am having an issue
So weird! I messaged you in Discord!
Hey there! I'm a sub, but didn't get the form yet. Could you send me? If not in here, on my discord account, wich is JP_501 ?
Absolutely! Should have it in your Patreon inbox now!
Form received, and filled out. It's surreal that after so many in-progress updates, we're less than three full weeks away from a 1.0 release. Congratulations!
Thanks a ton Endark! It's coming up fast!
make sure you post the itch io page for folks who'd want to double dip for an android key!
Good point! I updated the form to note that Itch.io is the key for you if you are an Android player!
