Blackmail Protocol v0.3 Devlog: New Mission System

Hey everyone!

As you know, we've left v0.2 behind, and we’ve read and discussed every single piece of feedback and criticism you sent us. As a team, we said, "Yes, it's time to take Blackmail Protocol to the vision we've been dreaming of," and we rolled up our sleeves for v0.3. With this update, we are taking the core loop of the game to a whole new level. No more just wandering around aimlessly; we are embarking on planned, calculated, and high-adrenaline "Operations"!

Here are the massive new features coming to the game with v0.3:

1. Ready or Not Style Mission System: The Hunt Begins!

We will now have specific missions with distinct targets, their own intrigues, and storylines. Just like in Ready or Not, we're introducing a pre-operation preparation phase—but our weapons aren't bullets; they are information, blackmail, and perfect timing.

For our first mission, the target is: The boss of a company and his secretary's secret, shady affairs. Our goal is clear; infiltrate, gather the evidence, and get out. You know the best part? We are building this system in an open-ended way that we can expand upon every month. We will regularly bring you a new story, a new victim, and brand-new level designs every single month. The targets are now our prey!

2. On the Field & In the Van: Spy Bugs Deploy!

Don't get us wrong, we aren't completely leaving the field! We will still physically go to the operation area with our character, walking right into the heart of danger. But this time, we have some very solid toys in our hands: Spy Bug Drones.

• Infiltration: We'll need to find different ways to sneak our bugs into the target's office—through ventilation shafts, under doors, or via blind spots. The level design will challenge you a bit here, but every path is worth exploring.

• One Mistake, Game Over: Stealth is the no-joke part of this job. If you get caught while sneaking in or setting up the cameras, you're done; the operation instantly blows up, and you'll have to restart the mission from scratch.

• Laying the Ambush: After placing the bugs at the right angles, we head back to our van and wait for our prey. When the boss arrives and starts flirting with the secretary, as things escalate, we'll be right there at the screens, recording everything.

3. The Art of Photography: More Angles, More Bonuses!

Just finishing the mission and running away isn't enough; you need to process that blackmail material "perfectly." As things heat up in the office, you'll need to hit the shutter as many times as necessary to capture the moment.

• Bonuses and Popularity: The more high-quality photos you capture from different angles that clearly show the incident, the more your bonuses and popularity points will multiply.

• Unlocking New Missions: This popularity you earn will be the key to unlocking bigger, tougher, and dirtier scandals that we'll release in the coming months. There is no moving on to the next one without properly clearing the current mission!
