Thoughts on NTR/Netori and Shido
Just jotting down some thoughts.
In most NTR works, the rival is usually depicted as an ugly, vulgar figure. The cuckold, on the other hand, while often characterized by a weak personality and low sexual prowess, usually surpasses the rival in every other aspect. The immense impact of NTR works largely stems from this stark contrast. Even if the rival does nothing, just standing next to the woman is enough to give you a certain flavor. Ultimately, you get a story about a man conquering women with his big dick. There are exceptions like Boku no Kanojo wa Gatenkei, but that's outside the scope of this discussion.
Conversely, if you make the rival too outstanding(Hardly anyone would do that in an NTR work), it can create the impression that he is the one genuinely in love with the girls, essentially making it seem almost like vanilla romance, which greatly diminishes the contrast and sense of transgression that NTR brings. Of course, I have enough skill and experience to intensify the NTR atmosphere even in such cases. You'll see it soon enough; what you've seen so far is just an appetizer.
One more thing I forgot to mention—there's a common interpretation of netorare, which is that the person being cucked must be aware that their significant other is being taken away. But considering there are still many girls waiting for Shido to meet later on, I can't let him truly know. I don't want him to turn into a cuckold slave(At least it shouldn't be too early) who willingly offers his girls to the MC.
I know how to make the work more erotic and boost my income in the short term. But I cannot bring myself to create and play a purely bastard MC. For example, Tohka's first scene was kept short because I felt very uncomfortable with it at that point.
Anyway, I hope to see my characters truly deserving of being loved.
What I really want to say this time is that MC has demonstrably changed the girls around him (Tohka's story will follow soon), leading them down paths different from the original work. But there's still one person who hasn't changed—Shido. I'm not saying he's bad, but he is indeed too passive. Unless a girl very clearly expresses her emotions in front of him, he basically doesn't do much. This makes him very boring for me to write. So, I plan to change him soon as well, to make him strive to do more, to make him genuinely desire these girls.

But I like Netori where there's a good reason for it, or we're not playing as an absolute shit-face who deserves to be shot like "NTRalohic." game like "The Hero's Party must fall" where the main dude we're in control of has multiple layers to him and we're given choices to delicate where he will go. Games like "The King of Summer," where it just hours to kick the boyfriend down just because he can't satisfy her, that's pathetic.
If I may, I loathe NTR. The reason for such a strong disdain is because the bull (NTR Man) is such a complete asshole, and the story goes above and beyond to make the main dude's life miserable, Like "Turning the page" in that game it feels like the game is going out of its way to being mean spirited towards the main dude who did nothing wrong to his way and the couple did cause the pain gets away it their actions scott-free.

I mean I generally hate netorare, but I like netori so this game I actually enjoy because we're playing as a fairly complex and charismatic MC who's good in the sack so honestly I like current style of the game and don't have much desire to see shido change much (unless you decide to feminize him and make him crossdress like in the anime), that being said if you find him boring to write then I can understand wanting to have him grow which is fine as long as shido doesn't ever actually get with any of the girls(meaning he never actually does anything sexual with them besides the obvious kiss to seal). What I'm getting from this message it sounds like you just want to increase the intensity of the emotions of the sex scenes by making it clear Shido genuinely likes the girls yet can't have them which works for me as long as he doesn't start taking up too much screen time away from the MC.
Yes, that's what I want to do. Because based on Shido's character, if the MC is good enough to the girls, I guess he could really just leave and bless the MC and the girls, which would be too boring. So, I decided to make him feel jealousy and other negative emotions.
**My opinion.** I don’t feel much enjoyment for NTR works, precisely because of the points you describe. The way you’ve created the MC, I consider it to be the most entertaining precisely because of how different it contrasts with classic NTR, and I have high expectations for how the story will develop.
Actually, I don't have a particular fetish for NTR or Netori works. When I'm looking for entertainment, I only focus on whether a work "has enough visuals," and then I read it from a God’s-eye view. But since I've seen so many, I've ended up remembering a lot of things.
I do agree the typical depiction is a stark contrast either in personality or appearance and am excited with how you corrupt the girls. I'm looking forward to your work! I kinda hope shido starts trying to deepen the relationships but it's too late.
