WIP Sewing Machine Mod Retro

Hi everyone!

I’m still working hard on the Sewing Machine Mod. In my last post, I asked for feedback, and many of you said you’d love to see a retro version of the sewing machine too.

What do you think of this design?

I’m also thinking about making it possible to sell the clothes your Sims create. Do you have any specific wishes or ideas for how that should work in the mod?

I AM SCREAMING INSIDE thank you SO MUCH. This is stunningly gorgeous. Wow. In my Regency world, it's all going to be centered around the modiste's store, so selling ballgowns ("full dress", I'm learning the lingo 😂) is going to be a big part of it. I'll share how I'm planning to do the idea a bit in case it's sparking any ideas for you: I want to have it where when the garment is done, it is delivered in a fancy box. I don't know if that's possible in sims, but just even having some fancy dress boxes would be fun to have as a deco! Right now I'm using blown up french macaron boxes and it's working but I know it's very silly. I would love some regency ball style skirts (very high empire waist) that I could layer with tops to make unique dresses. I've done that with a casual regency separate skirt, and it works pretty well. The volume of a skirt hides clipping seams. Maybe collabing to have a ballgown-transformation sort of skirt? That would be a cool sewable item for gamers who want to make any vintage/historical-passable modern CC tops (or even basegame tops) in their collection usable in historical games!

this is so cool! Be great if it worked like the one in the sims 2. Then the finished products would appear in their inventory just like knitting. be great to see some new curtain designs and patterns maybe? Pillows for couches and beds? I work at a hobby store and people are really bringing back the "granny hobbies" as they say. I for one, love this idea. Thank you for your hard work.

Sweet! My grandmother had one. My Aunt Darlene has it now. They are hard to find. I really like the style.

I love it, especially the Sul Sul on the centre bar.
