WIP Sewing Machine Mod

Will the sewing mods be available for everyone or is it just for members?

when will you release it?

Id love to see a sewing skill! I know we have knitting and embroidering but I think we're missing generic sewing! Also- hand-sewn possibilities could be amazing too!

HOLY COW this is so cool! I saw the preview of the finished model design! Do you have any advice for how to learn to do something like this?? I know basic 3D modeling, but how do you go about fully hooking up something like this for the sims 4???

Omg, I have waited for this since Ozzy had it years ago...suggestions: sewing clothes, blankets, curtains, make repairs on existing clothes, have patterns that can be mixed matched, patterns on existing clothing. That seems like a lot. Sewing supplies also; think the one had you buy material, scissors, thread colors, and patterns and last but not least - can you make it compatible with Jane Simsten:s thread from her spinning wheel?

Not sure if you’ve already been asked this, but will there be compatibility with the knitting pack? And do you plan on making a custom skill or will you use one that’s already in the game?

This mod would pair so well with the fashion designer mod of Danitysimmer!!! I think they were looking into incorporating a sewing part already, but it was a while ago, idk if they still plan on adding to it. Maybe you guys could collab or make them work together? If not, I'm still so excited for this mod, my mom is a seamstress! I grew up around sewing machines, ahah. For ideas, I have some mood buffer you could add, I think it might be simpler than making clothes, like with knitting. For example, "hurt: poked by a needle" or "frustrated: can't thread the needle", maybe also back pain after many hours! "headache sims can still hear the rattling of the machine in their head", "proud sims finally managed a straight line!" i can think of many let me know if you'd like some inspo ahaha

It would be awesome if it worked with DanitySimmer's Fashion Designer mod too!

Exciting! I love playing with ingredients needed to craft things, so it would be great if option to use wool from llama, or even if it was compatible to use with thread made from spinning mod (or if you incorporated something similar in this mod!).

Oh wow, amazing! I'm thinking this thought is probably not going be what you're coding but it would be so much fun if Sims had to level up their sewing skills like with say, singing and cooking. I can just picture them proudly wearing badly-made level 1 clothes!

This seems genuinely amazing and I know I'm not the only one who's been longing for such a mod so thank you very much for taking the time to work on this! Now about suggestions, I don't know exactly what you are already planning on including in your mod, but I personally would really love to have the option to make Build and Buy items such as curtains or tableclothes, as well as clothes (perhaps they already exist in regular EA CAS, unless they are specific pieces from your mod, although it would be incredible to be able to "make/sew" any clothes that is also CC for historical gameplay etc) - But also maybe be able to mend clothes so that would imply a system similar to the laundry one where we have maybe moodlets that let u know your pants are ripped or something and need mending, and then they are happy when something is freshly mended. For maximum crafting, it would be amazing to use the stuff we have in game such as wool that we get for animals, so we can sew with ingredients rather than buying fabrics that are already made. Now I know I'm being extremely greedy, but if we could have a couple of sewing machine options (like one modern one that looks like its vintage and not electric?) Obviously these are merely suggestions and I am already very grateful for the mod you are making, whatever features come with it :) Have an amazing day and happy modding!
