Plush Hug – Animation Process
This is a study version of the animation process 💛
As you may notice, this animation was made with very few frames.
There are almost no in-betweens. Most of what you see are keyframes and breakdowns.
Because I had limited time, I focused on capturing the movement using strong key poses and simple transitions, instead of refining everything with in-betweens.
The few in-betweens I added were mainly to help with timing, for acceleration and deceleration.
Of course, adding more in-betweens would make the animation smoother and more polished.
But a good keyframe combined with a well-placed breakdown can already communicate the movement clearly.
If you're just starting with animation, this is something important to keep in mind:
you don’t always need many frames to make something feel alive.
In my case, I usually start directly with keyframes and breakdowns, because I already imagine the motion in my head.
But if you find that difficult, it's completely okay to begin step by step:
start with keyframes, adjust the main poses, and then build the motion with breakdowns and in-betweens.
Also, mistakes are part of the process.
Sometimes I add or remove frames while testing timing. That’s why working rough first is so important.
You don’t need to draw everything clean from the start.
Hope this gives you a little insight into my process ✨ ✨

Heya! I just had a quick question if you don’t mind asking.^^ What FPS do you usually animate on?
I animate at 24 fsp ˆˆ. But i usually work a lot with by 3 and by 4, if you know what I mean.
Good spacing is everything. Love this one!!! =D
Obrigada Felipe ˆˆ! esse foi bem de ultima hora.
great as always!! do you mind sharing what brush you use i love the texture!
I just uploaded! Sorry for taking so long.
Thank you for the process and all your hard work 😆
