Genesis 5 - Public Beta to test SR6
Today I released Genesis 5 to the public for Beta testing. You patrons already helped me with Alpha testing, for which I am very grateful. But now it is time to take it a step further and have a lot more testers to help my find the bugs.
To give you some idea about the work: 80.000 lines of code for the generator, 10.000 lines of code for the PDF creation and 10.000 lines of XML data for the core rulebook content - 5 months in the making.
Especially the last two weeks, when my wife and I were on a two week vacation that was practically a code camp half of the time, the project made some progress.
I am at the same time very nervous, since there sure are bugs and this is always embarrassing, and happy since I finally have the chance to show the project to a wider audience. Let's hope it is not too buggy.

It was really hard for me to find the download link. Clicking on "Searching for Genesis?" only got me links to Genesis 4. You have to click on the Downloads button at the top first.
Ah, thanks for the mention. I guess the former webmaster forgot to make that link work differently for the chosen language. (Genesis 5 Beta has not been announced for german readers yet, since the german translation of SR6 is still not ready.)
