Just glad the trilogy was on sale for you ;-) Sequels aren't always great but I think you'll be happy

marvel wouldn't be what it is today if not for the blade movie doing as well as it did and the MCU likely wouldn't of happened

Awesome! I actually dusted off my PS4 that I haven't used in 4ish years to load up my Blade DVD to watch along with this. Such a great movie! I have the DVD trilogy set so I'm super pumped to watch the next full length watchalongs! Glad you liked it! Cheers.

4ish years?? I've been servicing consoles since 1999 and building PCs since 2005. Change the thermal paste on the APU and the pads on the ram IC or find someone to do it. Service is based on age, not use. It will absolutely cook without. Unless you only use it for dvds.

Fun Fact! Why you so Obsessed with me is Mariah Carey's song about Eminem. After she released Obsessed Eminem released The Warning and bodied her.

Eralia, your current X-men list will get you to the next Blade Marvel connection. To revisit one you've seen out of order, rewatch the Eternal's Stinger teasing a Black Knight Origin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGarvh9DooE

Some trivia At the time Wesley Snipes was more interested in doing a Black Panther movie. Tim Guinee who plays Curtis Webb was in the MCU, he was in a couple of the Iron Man movies. Donal Logue who plays Quinn, was in another Marvel movie. He was in Ghost Rider (2006). Bruce Lee's daughter, Shannon Lee is one of the doctors in the opening scene. The girl at Deacon's party was watching Mortal Kombat (1995), in particular the Reptile scene. Traci Lords, the vampire chick that takes that dude to the blood rave, has a song called "Control". The instrumental version of that track plays during the Reptile fight scene in Mortal Kombat.

As a kid, I lost a chunk of my hearing drowning out dentist drilling to that 🦻 I like the "chuc-chuc-chugga" jagged bit in the ?chorus & the sense of space from the kinda echo-y ?warbles (i don't have language for music)

S
Sean Dame · October 8, 2026

If they could only get a young Wesley Snipes, you know they'd have made the MCU Blade movie long ago, and they'd be on the Midnight Suns 3, with 4 on the way.

Znorthup · October 8, 2026

Hey E! Glad to see you're reacting not just to the Blade timeline but to a Wesley Snipes project as well. Such a badass IMHO! 🤓😅 Side-note/fun fact: the director of this only made ☝️ other movie called "League of extraordinary gentlemen" which incidentally was Sean Connery's final movie as well due to complications on set with the director and I cannot recommend it enough! Just go into it with the mentality that it's the avengers of famous book characters including Tom Sawyer, Jekyll/Hyde, and Mina Harker of the Dracula Universe and you might have a ball watching it. 🦇🤓😅 Notorious box office bomb as well and I can't for the life of me see why. 😅😅 Anyways, continue to take care of yourself and here's to whatever you release next cause I for one will be there! 😁✌️

I was happy to know that you were reaction to Blade. I went on my Disney plus account and could not find it. I did some research and found it on other platforms. Wow! I sound so smart, but this comment section helps with picking words out. Anyways I looked. At the moment I don't have the resources (money) to access those accounts. I'm hoping that I will soon. So, for now Eralia I will wait for the next Agatha All Along episode. No I'm not ending this comment yet. I WAS HEARTBROKEN ERALIA! I made nachos with chili beans with cheese sauce for the occasion :( Remember Daredevil Eralia remember. :{. Also, Jessica Jones Luke Cage Iron Fist and Punisher. Still adding that to my comment Eralia.

Sorry I didn't keep my nerdblather to a minimum.at least it's all positive & potentially helpful! I'm on drugs because dental implant part 1. 🫠 & I'm sleep deprived because Korra's second TPLO surgery (if you can handle medical gore look up the procedure it's hella cool that humans figured that shit out). I'll post a toothless Pic on my yt so you can laugh. Not trying to draw traffic I just want to be verifiable

To everyone in the comments who loves great stories (and/or vampire stuff) I highly recommend you watch the single season mini-series "Midnight Mass". Narratively, it's arguably the best show produced in 20 years but thematically, well, as I said it might be up your alley. 7 episodes, in and out. Great characters, arcs, themes, complete with mystery, deep dialogue, and love. Absolutely love. It's also a great watch for the October season.

K

S
SquaredSpekz · October 8, 2026

Stan didn't make Blade. It said in the credits, Blade was created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan.

J
Jayson Phillips · October 7, 2026

Blade was 1st created in 1973 by Mary Wolfman and Gene Colan for Marvel. He was originally created as a support character in the comic The Tomb of Dracula. I really hope they do the Midnight Suns series in real life.

Dayum post work & gym workout yet still dressed up like date night. Mr Snipes should feel honored :) Blade #2 is done by Guillermo del Toro, the style upgrade is all him. Did Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy & loads more. Very horror / Halloween movies all, worthy of a detour. -! ! !- if "lots of movies / spinoffs" is an "Eralia is gonna watch it" factor, you should know that Daredevil has non-MCU movies, is in many MCU tv series & a cameo in No Way Home, and was the inspiration for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a parody. TMNT has also had many movies and tv series, so draw your own conclusions but you'll still get down to- shit's just goooooooooood. RIP Kris Kristofferson I liked Traci Lords' contribution to the Mortal Kombat soundtrack "control" DEPECHE MODE personal Jesus, strangelove, enjoy the silence, policy of truth, a question of time, people are people, a question of lust, just can't get enough that's a chunk of my childhood & probably hearing right there Stan Lee had help, but yeah. He's a producer on all the Marvel movies/tv, it just means he put money into it. RiP Stan r i p Curits lol you are indeed done "bye felicia" (minor plug for Straight Outta Compton at some point, not fall vibes ) ..dear Hollywood, needles don't go in that goddamn far. everyone's getting marrow injections while I'm screaming 'AHHHHHHH OWWWWWWWWowowowowow' in my head.. works for cheap / committed horror. Why is she hiding? if anyone legit had taken her, there would be lighting and other people. Shit is scary. Did you never get the "female in the world" warnings? Protect yourself at all times. Well now you know how they pay for everything XD Also 90's vibes occult - The Craft (1996) Blade is such a badass that his "guy in a chair" is a freakin' badass More prime vampire & occult stuff are the first few seasons of TrueBlood. Jumps the shark after Eric Northman's big season, 4th i think. Worth it for Layfayette alone (RiP). It's a lot of sex (HBO) so it probably would be too much editing to be any good reactions. SEE?!! THE BLOOD LADY KNOWS NEEDLES sorry sorry but go actress for knowing her shit nobody in the city reacting to gunfire, child yeeted into road. argument for cattle strengthened a lot you can get lamps that project that water effect, btw. i turn my shower into a "pool" to Ryan Gosling will be a great Ghost Rider, I just wish we could've seen Keanu do it. He loves his motorcycles the only non-stylish bad guys are all either mad scientist or inbred hillbilly types. oh! or horribly scarred. what else am i missing guys? OH SHIT IT"S CURTIS ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh i forgot undead does that count as horribly scarred stuck with a creepy ex aAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHH '90's chonky heels - stability off pavement, those were the days (heels are horrible for your body y'all save 'em for special stuff) .for sure. me either. no judgy just be safe y'all. Also, Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992). someone in the audience shouted "damn the man who invented the bra!" true story oh hey it's the Time Keepers (1:44:33) (not really) you enjoying the 'catch the sunglasses' fight scene was peak Eralia This Karen is the best Karen ever Russian vampires? 30 Days of Night. very good, sequel verrry bad and not in a fun way.

Blade (1998)! This movie seems to be the start of when Marvel's characters started to become popular on the big screen. Great movie! I'm here for this! The movie that followed this was: X-Men (2000) Blade II (2002) Spider-Man (2002) ..... and it goes on. I don't think the follow-up Blade movies are necessary unless you're a Blade fan of course, and if that's the case then you MUST watch them all! ^,…,^

L
Lizard Ahaz · October 7, 2026

I'm sure lots of people might recommend Underworld (2003) as well, but you might want to also take a look at The Lost Boys (1987) or Werewolf by Night (2022) -- all great "Falloween" films. Another fantastic reaction!

Troy · October 7, 2026

This is the first time I've seen this... when it came out I was a little chicken where 'horror' was concerned. I think I watched one scene of this (the nightclub scene) and was like "Okay, I'm done." But I think I can handle it 30+ years later. Looking forward to seeing what I've been missing!

BLADE! First Great Marvel movie. A favorite heroe of mine being part of the Hells Kitchen/Brooklyn/Bronx heroes... Spiderman, DareDevil, Luke Cage, Electra, and Jessica Jones... The Midnight Sons, Ghostrider. Gods, this was during the tail end of my euro rave days. FYI The first redhead vampire girl is played by Traci Lords, the most iconic porn star of the 80s and 90s. Gota forgive the cgi for the times but the movie is shot so comic book like. Snipes will always be the only best Blade. Loving the journey, Be well kiddo.

K

if DC thought that way we'd never have gotten Heath Ledger's Joker though

SQUEE!! We finally get to the origin of one of the best one-liners in all of cinema! Oh man, I haven't seen this in DECADES. I wonder if it's still as badass as I remember or was it all a late 90s collective fever dream...
