You really need to check out Band of Brothers some time. Think... Saving Private Ryan but 10 hours long and a true story. 2001. Michael Fassbender. James McAvoy. Tom Hardy. Simon Pegg. Hands down the best series of all time imo.

Most everyone hates NEW MUTANTS but I found it really good, I thought Wolverine Origins was worse and you really liked it so I would not skip it.

I mean, you've got some pretty amazing X-Men content ahead! I think that you could quite comfortably rewatch Deadpool before continuing on to Deadpool 2 (after Logan) and Deadpool and Wolverine (after Loki season 2)! As for 'more X-Men content, 20th Century Fox, who made the X-Men (and other Marvel superhero movies), is no more, but it has been bought out by Disney, and now the X-Men are in their hands, able to work them into the larger MCU now. Should be interesting to see going forward...

Your "Devil man" was Azazel who was played by Jason Flemying the son of Ian Flemying the creator of James Bond 007... There is a new X-Men movie scheduled to come out May 5, 2028 and before watching Deadpool and Wolverine there are several other movies for context. The first two Deadpool movies were before the MCU and Deadpool Wolverine (2024) is in the MCU

New mutants doesn’t have to be watched in this run

L
Lizard Ahaz · September 8, 2026

You might want to watch "X-Men: Apocalypse" before rewatching Deadpool so you understand the riff between Negasonic and Colossus. Also the reason the movies get better and better is as you get more context you can understand them better. Also James McAvoy played Prof X in this movie so if you remember Colossus hauling Deadpool off talking about "seeing the Professor" and Deadpool asking "McAvoy or Stewart these timelines are so confusing" that is an Easter egg also...

Mystique was straight for 40 years in the comics, I think it was 2019 when they decided to retcon her story and make her gay. As for new X-Men movies, I believe Marvel will reboot the X-Man franchise with new actors sometime in 2018+, all these existing X-Men movies were made under 20th Century Fox before they sold everything to Disney (which also owns Marvel)

M
Matt · September 8, 2026

If you think this is emotional, just wait for Xmen 97......oh boy.

A
Aaron Burgess · September 7, 2026

I know most people are saying to skip Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix, but I like those and would enjoy watching you react to them. As someone who likes the 2 movies no one else wants you to watch, even I think you should skip New Mutants. It's not that good, to my knowledge it's not pertinent to the MCU, and overall I think it would be a waste of your time.

M
Matthew Wagner · September 8, 2026

New Mutants is far better than Apocalypse or that second attempt at Dark Phoenix. And it leads right into Logan

The X-Men and Brotherhood of Mutants are born. It is a great origin story. I wish they were all this good. It doesn't get much better than this for X-Men, but the next movie is even better.

T
Troy · September 7, 2026

I'd seen that "No, the real ___"/"Perfection" as a meme before but had no idea it was from this. My only real problem with prequels like this, is certain moments just do nothing for me, like the dramatic moment when the X-Men jet is about to crash, and I'm like, "Gee, I hope all these characters we meet forty-plus years from now will be okay."

M
Mistah47 · September 7, 2026

Obviously watch whatever you want to watch. My personal advice is that you watch Days of Future Past and Logan and then Deadpool 1 - 3. The rest of the X-Men movies range from ok to meh. The choice is yours tho.

J
Jay Adams · September 7, 2026

Emma Frost (the diamond skin woman) was also briefly in the Wolverine origin movie you watched. She was the sister of Logan's girlfriend that Stryker was holding, whom she needed to break out along with the other mutant kids. Going back and forth from good guy to bad guy was one of the things they did very differently with characters in the wolverine origin movie, just like they did with "Deadpool".

K
KAM5Brain · September 7, 2026

And now you know how extra heinous that Mystique put the contaminate in Cerebro in X2, tho their relationship might not have been canon in that universe I read somewhere that the coin magneto is asked to move has basically pure silver, no magnetic metals in it. the test was designed to shoot his mom Magneto's theme is super banger! I have it on my "eradicate clutter!” playlist Stryker was revealed during the meet n greet with the CIA. Chuck even said Stryker was thinking about his son William. Don’t blame the captions this time :) There was a lot going on in the scene

K
KAM5Brain · September 7, 2026

Please watch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off before Deadpool 1. Deadpool’s end credit scene is a direct homage. Classic movie for many reasons, very “carpe diem” and enjoyable.

X-Men First Class is so gooood. Love a good origin story (that doesn't get repeated 3 times like spoodermin) that fleshes out the characters we've already met. They did it so well with Charles and Erik in this one. James McAvoy did such a great job. You could really tell he honestly believes most of the "regular" human race would be on their side and they could all live together in peace rather than it be an "us vs them" situation like Erik sees it. There's such heartbreak within Charles when he realizes that he couldn't convince his friend of that. Even after he showed him that the true source of his powers isn't anger and pain, but love and happiness. But those in power are very much of the same tribal mentality and like it or not, a rebellion organization like Magneto's is necessary to win the fight when all you get from the other side is a fight. I'm not too familiar with the comics version of Magneto to know how much he blurs the line between necessity and actual evil, but I feel like he still has redeemable qualities. We'll see soon enough, eh?

Also, my 35yr sister remarked while watching this during opening weekend, "I'd like to 'Fassbend' dat DEEQ!" SO there's that. 🙄

C
CapitalEffyou · September 7, 2026

Great video. A while back, you mentioned a viewer complaining, telling you to stop 'thirsting' over characters. No. These are hot people, being hot, in a format intended to be viewed and WATCH them *be* hot. They spent hours in hair and makeup and worked hard to be on screen. Thirsting is an essential component to film appreciation. You thirst over them just like people here thirst over you (I don't because you are like "Sestrenka" to me, but you are beautiful, I'm not an idiot). Finally, I like when reactors search things during movies, I like knowing they're interested. I think it's a weird thing for viewers to complain about. "Молодець, сестричко"

B
Brian · September 10, 2026

Pay it no mind, we all thirsting for them....

In terms of current X-Men, there's nothing specifically labelled as that, but there's certainly some hints sprinkled here and there. You'll get there. :)

This is my favorite of all of the X-Men movies. I put the stand alone Wolverine movies seperately. Have been waiting for this one.

R
Rey · September 7, 2026

Man this movie is soo good, the xmen and magneto particularly are just some of the best characters in comics. I know youre a super busy girl with school and work so i would say you could skip apocalypse, dark Phoenix, and new mutants and can still enjoy days of future past, logan, and deadpool 1-3 without feeling like you missed a beat. And if your ever itching for a little more high quality xmen stories would highly reccomend xmen-97 as well. It was surprisingly good what they did with the story there and can be enjoyed even with only have just seen the movies

K
Kyle Rutledge · September 7, 2026

To answer your question at the end, they aren't making these X-Men anymore. They made four (technically not including New Mutants). And this new version was a reboot. The final one (Dark Phoenix) coincided with Fox being bought by Disney, and they chose to stop it there. Days of Future Past I think is widely considered the best one of the reboot series, and is also one of the more famous comic storylines. Deadpool 1 and 2 is technically in this reboot universe, so it's good you watch them in release order.

M
McShades · September 8, 2026

It wasn't really a reboot, just a prequel... Marvel is going to reboot the franchise soon though with all new actors and story lines.

A
Arrendis · September 7, 2026

You've done The Wolverine, so next up should be Days of Future Past. New Mutants is... a very different experience, just be ready for that.

In regards to pig farmers and tailors. “Historians have a word for Germans who joined the Nazi party, not because they hated Jews, but out of a hope for restored patriotism, or a sense of economic anxiety, or a hope to preserve their religious values, or dislike of their opponents, or raw political opportunism, or convenience, or ignorance, or greed. That word is "Nazi." Nobody cares about their motives anymore. They joined what they joined. They lent their support and their moral approval. And, in so doing, they bound themselves to everything that came after. Who cares any more what particular knot they used in the binding?” - A.R. Moxon

#
#MaxwellDidNothingWrong · September 8, 2026

Well that's overly reductionist. The whole point of history is to tease out as much nuance as possible, not to remove it. To find the humanity in others, not to close your eyes to it.

I love the scene with Michael Fassbender in South America! I have a question for Eralia. Do you intend to watch the old X-men cartoon? Just wondering because I think you might enjoy watching the new X-men 97' seasons.

K
Kyle Rutledge · September 7, 2026

As an add on to this, I didn't watch the OG cartoon in recent memory, but did watch 97. So not a requirement, but a quick storyline update via wikipedia was in order for me. All the new cartoons (97, What If?, Wakanda) are worth the watch. I'm currently binging the OG cartoon as a bedtime watch though.
