content inquiry!!

hi patreon team!

we’re moving right along in our journey, current plan is to continue our marvel adventures with some more TV, x-men, blade, fantastic four, the rest of the new phase movies… it’s gonna be a HOOT.

we also just finished up the games we were playing on the channel: expedition 33 and GTA V!

for our next game, i was thinking GTA IV to lead into GTA VI? other option could be a resident evil game or two going into halloween/fall season.

some music album reactions dropping soon too, so post your ideas below! my thoughts are the wall (pink floyd), maybe some emo stuff like linkin park or greenday, maybe some r&b or rap like the weeknd or kendrick… hit me with the suggestions!

** when recommending, please list the game, movie, or song, and then a quick “why.” you all know my current mix of media so i trust our community to actually pick stuff that’ll mesh well with my taste and our current flow! thank you!

I know Daredevil has 39 episodes but with good planning and I hate sounding awful about games (not a gamer btw) less of that. You can do this.

Check out Bo Burnham. He has a few albums/specials to choose from. He began performing at a very young age during the early stages of becoming "youtube famous." Ostensibly a comedian who writes lyrically-dense songs with potentially misogynistic leanings in his earlier work, his style became much more self-aware and critical of the absurdity of...well, everything. Some especially interesting options are "All Eyes on Me," "Welcome to the Internet" and "Can't Handle This (Kanye Rant)". There is definitely some value to watching in chronological order, to see the artistic growth (or emotional unraveling) as it became more apparent. But, the Netflix special "Inside" deals with the horrors of isolation during COVID for a person who has derived his personal value based on an audience's response (which is a major source of cognitive dissonance for him). Sorry for the long comment, but appreciate your perspective on some of my favorite films and music. Thanks again!

Personally I don't watch a lot of game playthroughs, but my all time favourite game is Balders Gate 3. Not sure if you've already played it, but absolutely worth playing and I would definitely watch that. Music, once again I pitch Pentatonix. Phenomenal voices, fantastic synergy, they really changed the game for the future of Acapella. Don't be fooled by hearing that they are an Acapella group, they aren't what you'd expect. Specifically I recommend their renditions of Hallelujah, Sound of Silence and Imagine. I cannot recommend them enough!!!!!

Excited for the catching up of Marvel stuff especially xmen and fantastic four. The Dark Knight Trilogy (As I've mentioned nunerous times before) will blow your fucking mind. Its Batman but its really not super-hero-y if you're feeling burnt out on the whole super hero genre. These 3 films are super grounded and The Dark Knight (second in the series) is objectively one of the greatest films of all time. Could be a halfway decent transition out of the superhero genre for you. If you choose to continue your Christopher Nolan journey after that, I would definitely tune in. Memento. The Prestige (Hugh Jackman - again). Inception. Interstellar. Oppenheimer. These films will make you FEEL. Never considered it, but I would be so down to tune into your Linkin Park journey. Live in Texas is a wild live performance but just starting with Hybrid Theory and Meteora and hearing your first real exposure (if that is the case...) to Papercut would be phenomenal. LP is hands down my favorite band of all time. July 20th 2017. Iykyk. First tattoo I ever got was "Who cares if one more light goes out, well I do" on my ribs when I was 24.

Movie Reaction (if you haven’t seen it, I don’t recall a reaction or mention): Everything Everywhere All At Once. A fairly recent Oscar winner for Best Picture, this film is a synthesis of the films that this channel is best known for: the MCU, deep emotional impact and outrageous comedy, and the self-development from your podcast. Any other details would be spoiling the film. Does well when people react on YouTube.

If you haven't seen it, I'd like to see your reaction to the Firefly TV series. It's a cult classic, or maybe a legit classic now, I'm in the cult so I don't know. I'd also suggest Marvel's animated series "What if...?" Because it's fun and now that you've seen the movies you'll enjoy all the call backs and references as they have fun with light multiverse adventures.

Resident Evil going into Halloween is a great idea! At some point in the future, after it comes out on streaming, maybe try watching The Odyssey and playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey after it? Great movie and a great game to pair with it, they do great things with Greek mythology and the environments in AC: Odyssey are pretty historically accurate (obviously discounting anything heavily based in mythology). Would love to see you react to the other 3 John Wick movies at some point, too. Also, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. You seem to enjoy fantasy and if you're at all interested in DnD (or have even played it) you will really enjoy the movie, I think!

Album Reaction suggestion: Roger Waters of Pink Floyd, he wrote all the lyrics for Dark Side of the Moon, released a studio album in the fall of 1992 titled Amused to Death. I came across this album browsing the stacks at Tower Records in LA around that time. The album is as lyrically rich and pleasing to the ear as DSotM. The themes explored by this album I know will touch you in a therapeutic manner. The album keeps finding its way back into my rotation when current events harmonizes with it. I am looking forward to your future reactions to some of the remaining Pink Floyd albums. Now that I have had several decades marinade in them the albums Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You were Here, The Wall and A Momentary Laps of Reason are equivocal to a best of Bach or Mozart. - I was never here

D
Desmond Alvarez · August 15, 2026

Resident evil would be so fun to watch! Another shortish game that would be amazing would be “Dispatch” it’s a very narrative forward story rich game about a superhero (think Iron Man, but inherited the suit instead of rich inventor) who’s suit is damaged beyond his financial means to repair and is forced to work in a call center dispatching heroes to emergencies (kinda like superhero 911 calls), but you get all the reject hero’s and ex villains on your team. You level them and yourself up as you progress and all the characters are unique and well done. You could probably knock it out in a 3-4 part series of videos and it loosely fits with the superhero content while being a fresh universe. Oh and it’s a choose your own adventure as well. I look forward to whatever is put out I really enjoy playing games on the weekend while watching my weekly marvel fix w/ your reaction. Thanks

I don't know if you've already played this or if I've even suggested it, but the Half Life series of games is one of the moust foundational story driven single player first person shooter games that still hold up today even over 20 years after the first release. Half Life 1 from 1998 was even faithfully and lovingly recreated by fans with the title Black Mesa so you wouldn't have to suffer through the jank of pre-2000 video games. :D

There's also a very cool sequel game coming out, Control 2 Resonant. I know we're normaly looking into strong story games and while the first Control game hinges more on the existential paranatural mystery side of things it has a potent aura of intrigue that'll be sure to garner a lot of excitement and fun. It also has a lot of cool reading material and exploration. As far as movies/tv goes 'The Falcon and The Winter Soldier' would be great to gets both action and some psychology as well as humour of course but you might also like to be caught up in the magical side of things in which case you have the loveliest( and a little depressing) of time waiting for you in Agatha All Along.

(GAME) Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake - it is getting a remake this fall. Would make for great content and pull some new viewers. I think it's highly anticipated. (MOVIE) Quentin Tarantino films - they are all great. If you haven't seen them you really should. I know I’ve asked numerous times, and I’m sorry for pestering, but if you could watch the Defenders shows that consist of “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Luke Cage,” “Iron Fist,” “The Punisher,” and finally the “The Defenders.” This a huge ask, I understand. Now here’s why: the first show in this category is “Daredevil,” and it actually explores how the civilians of New York City have responded to the Battle of New York that happened in “Marvel’s The Avengers” back in 2012. The other shows that follow also reveal how civilians are slowly coming to grip that more and more people with enhanced abilities are walking among us now and explore how everyday people are reacting to that. “Daredevil” also introduces an EXTREMELY important villain of the MCU and who you will see again in “Hawkeye,” as well as other important side characters who appear in other Marvel projects. One such character quite recently showing up in the newest Spider-Man movie is Frank Castle, aka the Punisher, a military vet who lost his family in a gangland shootout and brings about his own brutal punishment upon all responsible. Think of these shows as if Marvel was on HBO: darker subject matter, grittier, grounded, and all officially a part of the MCU as announced last year. Okay, apologies again for the long comment. Thank you again, and I understand you’re already super busy as it is, so please only do what you can. Thank you! 😃

I would love to see music album reactions from artists you’ve already mentioned, and I would like to include for myself personally the band Muse, one of my favorites, and if I were to recommend an album from them I suppose it’d have to be the first one called ‘Showbiz’ from 1998 even though I enjoy the majority of their albums in release order also, one of my favorite performances from them is a concert they did, Muse - Live at Rome Olympic Stadium but that specific concert pulls songs from their most recent album release at that time which was their sixth album ‘The 2nd Law’ and a sprinkle of songs from their other four albums (surprisingly nothing from their first album) is in that concert. Funny enough that the only reason I ever even heard of this band is because of my big sister! When she and her friends dragged me with them to go watch the release of twilight, there was a song by Muse in one of the scenes (iykyk) and ever since then i’d listen to their music, their style remains interesting and satisfying to me in their dynamic alternative rock as they’ve evolved over time and i’d be curious to see if you’ll like them too! Not everyones taste but maybe that’ll change, i’ve only been to one concert from them but I had a great time. Anyways, thanks

Hey E. Movie: I would recommend "any" of the Batmans for your thoughts as to how resourceful, determined, and resilient he is as a character seeing how he's as human as tony stark yet as tough a fighter as Cap or Spider-Man despite having no powers whatsoever. Game: I'd recommend the Spider-Man games from Insomniac to see how you'd react to the usage of his webswinging, combat skills, and the designs of his already viewed villains. Music: honestly I'd recommend either Pink Floyd's The Wall or Lady Gaga's Mayhem album cause I'd frankly love to watch you groove along to either of those. 😅 In the meanwhile, keep well and continue to live your best life! I am apparently an old head, so my suggestions are what they are... If you are continuing down the Floyd rabbit hole, I'd suggest that Wish You Were Here is a superior exemplar (in a cinematic/spacey vein). Or Animals, in a raw, funky vein. But, if you want to dip into some r&b, howzabout What's Going on by Marvin Gaye? Or Superfly by Curtis Mayfield? Both hit hard and come with tremendous social commentary, as well as backstories. As for movies, the superhero stuff is a bit anathema to me. How about a story about a superhero car with an unbeaten soundtrack? The Blues Brothers... lastly, a game... you seem to dig on cool stories. And I've heard "modded" fall outta yer mouth... try Fallout 4. Forget the moaners. Look at nexus mods under "collections," as they are myriad. There is a bit if a learning curve with that, so you might want a bit of hand holding (nothing wrong with that!). Shift enter no work wit' phone, so parse my bloated paragraph.

No filler episodes, intense action and chaos. The story is enclosed in 10 episodes (approx. 5 hours.
