Where is amazing spider man 1?
I wish they had stuck with the 4-movie plan for this spiderman, was my favorite.
Your disbelief made it more heart breaking 💔
Amazing Spider-Man 2.. I'll grab the tissues.
cant find The Amazing Spider-Man in your list. At Youtube i found your reaction video, but the full version here, i didnt found. What happend?
Pretty sure the first spiderverse movie should be watched first.
excited for nwh and the spiderverse movies!
Also… I know I’m the only one asking… please please watch Daredevil (2015-2018)! Please! Thank you. Take care and be happy. 😊
Gwen Stacy’s death is much more significant and sadder in the comics. Norman Osborn, aka the only Green Goblin at the time, remembered Peter Parker was Spider-Man and kidnapped Gwen to hurt him. Spider-Man followed them to the Brooklyn Bridge, and while checking in on Gwen, Green Goblin attacked them by ramming his glider into them, knocking Gwen off the bridge. Without thinking, Peter shoots a web line to save Gwen, and it does grab her leg in time before she hits the water. However, the sudden stop in momentum from free fall due to Spider-Man’s web line caused Gwen’s body to jerk and the sudden stop snapped her neck. To put it grimly, it was Spider-Man who killed her while trying to save her. This was the first time a hero in comic books failed in trying to save their loved one, and it was considered the end of the Silver Age in comics. What followed was essentially the “final” fight between Spider-Man and Green Goblin, which you saw portrayed in live action in the Spider-Man 2002 film. Spider-Man almost killed Green Goblin, then stopped realizing it’s not what Gwen would want. Goblin takes advantage of this moment of hesitation, and remotes controls his glider to try and impale Spider-Man from behind. However, Spidey’s spider sense warns him to duck out of the way in time, and Green Goblin gets impaled by his own glider instead, resulting in his “death.” After this, Mary Jane consoles Peter at first as a friend, revealing she’s known he’s Spider-Man since the very beginning, and eventually they fall in love. And there’s your comic book history tidbit of the week. 🙂
Wow! Write a book?
You're definitely clear for no way home now, but if you do time would highly reccomend the spiderverse movies , i went in with no expectations and was truly blown away by the
this is my fav spiderman movie and i'll be so down for a batman trilogy too
Amazing Spider-Man 3 was never made, but the scene at the end in Oscorp clearly show the creation of the Sinister Six for it. A group of Spider-Man villains joining together to fight him. You have Rhino, also the arms of Doctor Octopus (From Spider-Man 2), Vulture (From Spider-Man Homecoming), not sure who the other 3 would have been.
Can't wait for you to check the rest of the Spider-Man movies, also, Christian Bale's Batman Trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan is amazing, coming from a die-hard Spiderman fan since a kid, those batman movies are really really great!
Another vote for Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. I’m a Marvel guy, not a DC guy (comics or movies), but this trilogy changed cultural expectations for ‘comic book movies’ into expecting serious, dramatic movies. And, for another excellent take on Batman, there’s The Batman (2022) and The Penguin series that follows (2024, 9 Emmys). There’ll be The Batman 2 in 2027. Don’t break your current path, but put them on your list somewhere. I’m a bit slow; traveling in Europe.
NWH next for sure 👍🏼
I second those saying to wait on No Way Home till you get to it in release order. The movie contains some major spoilers for what comes before. And if the Marvel series aren't doing it for you (I found Loki season 1 a hard watch), you can skip them and just do the movies. (Though Wandavision and Ms Marvel will help with with your enjoyment/understanding of the MCU post phase 3; and are both good shows).
You by no means NEED to watch the 2 Spiderverse films before No Way Home but you might as well if you're gonna check em out anyway. Which you should...
Denial is a strong thing. Good luck in No Way Home
I wish people wouldn't say "Bring Tissues", that is a spoiler. .. People need to realize most reactors want to go into these movies blind if possible. You don't need to watch the animated movies, although they are good but you can watch those anytime you want as their story has nothing to do with the MCU.
I would def recommend watching No Way Home first. While Into the Spiderverse came out first, I think it’s better to watch No Way Home first just because No Way Home is such an exciting movie and the Spiderverse movies might give you some indication of what could come in the live action movie. This is because the animated movie dives deeper into the lore of Spiderman beyond him being a friendly neighborhood hero. Regardless, at the very least watch them in chronological release order
The more I'm thinking about it, I think this is the first Hans Zimmer scored movie you've done and with that, LFG! ❤️ Thank you E and continue to keep safe over there! P.S: you should totally check out Batman after you've completed Marvel. 🤓😅
Time to add the dark knight trilogy to your long list lol
I cannot wait to see you watch No Way Home! 💪🏼🕸️💪🏼🕸️💪🏼🕸️ The animated ones is really dealer’s choice. 🤷🏼♂️
really hope this means you'll eventually play the Spiderman Ps4 game
This is such a good follow-up to the first one, and as always a brilliant reaction. The actor who plays Harry in this one, Dane DeHaan, always gives me slightly creepy vibes. I feel like he has a real talent for playing characters who are just a little bit unsettling, and he does it well. If you haven't seen it, you should definitely check out Chronicle at some point. It's a bit of an unusual superhero movie, but a really interesting one. I also think he does a solid job as Goblin here. It's incredibly hard to live up to Willem Dafoe's Goblin because that performance is so iconic, but I think Dane gives it a good crack. I also had a laugh when you brought up Batman again. Before these Spider-Man movies you were wondering about Spider-Man's origins and jokingly asking if he "fucked a spider", and now you've gone from that to comparing him with Batman. 😂 Very different origin stories, and very different universes. Spider-Man is Marvel, Batman is DC, and while I've said it before, I still stand by the fact that The Dark Knight trilogy is one of the best things DC has ever put out. Absolutely worth watching someday. As for where to go from here, I'm honestly no help when it comes to the animated Spider-Man movies because I've never actually seen them. I know a lot of people absolutely love them though. I still lean towards jumping back into MCU release order before No Way Home, but truthfully I don't think there's a wrong answer here. The movies immediately before it don't have a huge impact, if any, on No Way Home itself, so if you decide to jump straight there, I'm fully on board with that too. It's an incredible movie and one I've been excited for you to reach for a long time. Whatever route you take, I'm here for the ride.
At this point I would stick to release date. Biggest thing is watching the Fox X-Men before Multiverse of Madness. So Loki season 1, No Way Home, Wandavision (still my top Disney Plus series), and then Multiverse of Madness. (Venom is like whatever tbh. You can watch it anytime)
Definitely do whatever you want to do, movies should inspire the next movie. I absolutely loved your reaction to this bc it was me when I saw it in the theater. It wild bc I had actually seen him in three movies before this in theaters as well. The first being, The social Network, then Hacksaw Ridge, and then I found out that he was from the UK...he nails all of his accents! This was a beautiful reaction! I love the way you've watched these movie's in the same way I did as a kid. Gwen passing is super tragic, that's when I realized that you get it ......the whole marvel thing, you're the best!!
I would easily rewatch The Office if you react it.
at this point i think you should wear eyeshadow under foundation, under your eyes, so when you cry it's a magic reveal. lean into it & make it a brand thing 😭 thanks for letting me cry with you, i really needed that 🫂
With great power comes great responsibility Sadly, responsibility means you can't have it all. And if you try to, you risk everything you love.
I feel the same!! I have the backlights too11 on my TV and the surround sound, but can't watch it on there cause it takes 2 monitors to watch you hehe. Correct me if i'm wrong but I think in the comic it snapped her spine?
Can't wait for Spiderverse AND No Way Home! But, in the meantime, Batman mentioned‼️ THE CHRISTOPHER NOLAN BATMAN TRILOGY IS AMAZING! Any chance after Marvel, of dipping into some DC? 🤔🙏😂
Gotta start with Tim Burton's Batman, though.
I'm in two minds about Amazing Spider Man. On the one hand it's my favourite portrayal of the character and the cinematography, the effects, the music, Gwen, Electro, all the set pieces were really really well done. But on this go around it just felt like the connective tissue between all the pieces, the overarching story line was the weakest point. It didn't seem to flow very well from beginning to middle to climax to resolution and conclusion. I wonder just how much was left on the cutting room floor. A movie truly is made in the editing room, huh?
Please consider A House of Dynamite. Your reactions and insights would be AMAZING! 100% perch guarantee! 🧨👀🪖👏🫡🫶
I have been eagerly waiting for this movie to hit your list. I was floored by the ending. As far as the animated movies, they are adjacent and not necessary in any order, but definite recommends to not skip them altogether. As far as the Venom movies, as well as Kraven. They are mostly stand alone projects that had hopes to tie into the main storyline, that will probably not happen. Disposable easter eggs in my opinion, but feel free to do as you like.
Love the reactions, always glad to be rewatching some of my favorite movies with your reactions along the way!
Denis Leary had a cushy gig in this: "We just need you to sit or stand in various places, staring judgmentally at the camera."
to answer your question about the blood when she fell, the rating for this movie was not gonna allow the ammount of blood that would come from your head smacking the ground after falling roughly 15 stories
I don't think anyone with the comic book knowledge would believe they'd actually do this. Why did it have to be Emma? 💔
Told you Amazing Spider-man will break you.
I think we all knew this was going to be a....reaction. In every universe, Gwen and Peter are tied together, but it never ends well. The Raimi Spider-Man films didn't touch this because they already established the classic MJ relationship. But....in the comics, MJ and Gwen were both college friends with Peter. At the time, neither knew (later retconned that MJ did) that Peter was Spider-Man. Gwen was grounded and dated Peter and MJ was a party gal. Gwen's death shook her and brought her and Peter closer together. It set MJ and Peter up to be one of Marvel's power couples for decades. For next, I think you should roll through to No Way Home. The Spider-verse films are FANTASTIC, but they don't follow through on these films. They're their own thing. Looking forward to see what you end up going with.
Let’s GOoooooooo ! 😁
Don't mind me, just here to watch an innocent, incredibly hard-working young woman get her soul crushed...... Respectfully. 😅😅😅🤓🤓🫶🏻✨🖤✨🐢🐢🐢
Whenever I see eralia say early on in a superhero movie, "Who is that guy?" and start Googling I'm just like, "Oh, yeah, no, don't do that yet..." 😆
The Amazing Spider-Man #121-122. That is the issues of the arc where Gwen dies in the comics. If u look at the clock tower the time is 1:21
The death of Gwen Stacy is such an iconic Spider-Man storyline. It was unheard of at the time for such an important supporting character for a major character to die like that (in a non-origin story). As soon as Emma Stone was cast as Gwen in this iteration of Spider-Man, I think a lot of fans knew she would eventually die.
I think all the Spiderman movies are fun and well done, but the 2 Spiderverse movies are head and shoulders above the live action. I'd watch No Way Home next just to finish off the live-action stuff. Then the 2 animated films are like the ultimate dessert.
Yes, the Spider-Verse are a must watch. While there's no contextual reason to watch them, it is important to watch them because they are amazing. And then after the spiderverse, they released a new series called Spider-Noir that might be interesting to watch afterwards, I haven't finished watching it myself, but it is promising with A-list actors. I think it's on Amazon Prime (I was surprised it wasn't on Disney, but then I remembered spider-man's complicated licensing issues) Is Spider-Noir worth recommending to Eralia?
Yes Plutonium is real, check the periodic table for Pu.
Spiderverse! They're probably the best animation movies out there, absolute on par with the animation gold standard "Arcane", which you will love whenever you'll get around to watch it...😍😉
Yeah I wish she would watch Arcane as well
Thanks for all you do, and have a great weekend! 🎥👏🫡🫶
Already pre-emptying the tears. Idk why but they have such good chemistary with gwen. ngl the animation movies (into the spiderverse) are so damn good
