Caribbean Dollars also exist but virtually everyone in the Caribbean will accept USD. In some places their cash registers even do the conversion. I don't think asking if you accept USD in a tourist city is that wild, especially if the card system is down.

I've never left a comment on their video but had to for this one. Idk why this one bothered me so much. Maybe it's because I'm in the restaurant industry. But the reaction was ironic from Henry Why would you think that USD is accepted anywhere else outside of the US. It's very ignorant and egotistical think so. You would unfortunately just have to go somewhere else that accepts card payment. If someone offered pesos here in the US, we would 100% say no. So why would anyone think the reverse would have a different outcome in There's literally a saying "when in Rome...." And I'm pretty sure the rest of it doesn't go "....pay in American dollars"

The guy recording the video is completely justified in being incredulous. Italy is an independent country that uses the euro. USD is foreign currency there. The dollar may be an important reserve currency, but global importance does not make it local tender. You wouldn’t walk into a US restaurant expecting them to accept AUD, euros or pounds, so why should it be different abroad? Sure, some tourist businesses may choose to accept dollars, but expecting it as a matter of course is bizarre. People are way off base on this one.

Can we just give a shout out to the editors for the consistently good choice of clips reacted to. Nice work

I kind of feel that person with the tattoos will get sued for copyright. I think the cops were just mad because they had to ride bikes and not drive in cruisers. But that's what happens when you defend the police. "You are under arrest! Now jump in the basket!"

the real question is. WHY THE HELL are you even carrying dollars in rome? NO your usd cash is worthless outside of the us. nobody will take it. if you're going to be out in europe. convert your cash into euro's BEFORE you go anywhere. or just don't bring cash at all.

tomf · September 16, 2026

Just so you know, from the European perspective, asking if a business takes USD is a weird and embarrassing thing to ask, because USD has no value here, only the local currency does. Who travels to another country without that country's currency, but you are still walking around with USD?? The only exception to this is usually smaller businesses or sole traders who are in a position to target American tourists, usually in places with under-performing economies, charge a higher rate, and get enough USD over time to make exchanging it into a usable currency worth the conversion cost. Just for example, I'm British, pound currently is doing better than the Euro, but if I went anywhere in the EU and asked if they accept GBP, it would come across as yet another British superiority complex

As the hippo might say, “These streets ain’t safe!”

The man in the gym and the girl on the street, they were arrested for something, but it is unclear, at best, in the video. People like to change the narrative and protest an innocent reason due being arrested. Like Renee Good was not arrested for being a citizen, or a mother. She, like the girl in this video, was arrested for interfering with police in official business. Yes, she was too close. And if she backed up after she was pushed away that would have been it, but she returned. In tourist frequented areas it is common for vendors to carry US dollars, they do more business that way. US money is the reserve currency, meaning it is accepted in more places than any other currency, among other things. Caring cash used to be required, now it is not advisable. You don't need it most of the time and it can be stolen from you.

Why would a restaurant in Rome take USD?? If the restaurant only takes cash and you have none, get some , or go somewhere else . It s not hard. but sure.. filming other people is also creepy and stupid. Mind your business, also not hard.

Since so few residences in Europe have Center AC eating at night in the cooler part of the day makes since.

d
darkspacer125 · September 18, 2026

the only time a lack of ac is a problem is during a heatwave. and temperature has absolutely nothing to do with eating outside. atmosphere. being romantic. or just "hey we are out here anyway wanna grab a bite to eat?" is the reason they are out there. our houses are built better than in the us. it's colder inside the non ac house than it is outside. and plenty of houses here have ac. we just don't have the ugly window units that you guys have.

My family and I have owned dozens of cats and we've never had a problem with them attacking us. If a cat attacks their owner, the owners are probably abusing them. As for asking a place overseas if they take American cash is totally normal. I've been to like 40 countries, and a lot of them happily take US dollars.

d
darkspacer125 · September 18, 2026

the cat thought the man attacked the woman.

DasBigUn · September 15, 2026

its wild too me that people in Rome think that a random restaurant would take USD. Like, yes there system is down, so why not leav someone/someones there and go get the euro's? or, just have a couple hundred eruos as a JUST IN CASE OF EMERGANCY sorta situation?

The police are not your friend. Take the UK for just one example. And there is only one word for that cat...and the word is PUNT!

darkspacer125 · September 18, 2026

if you haven't lived under a rock you'd know that clip and that cnt of a woman was told to step the fk back many many many times. and she on multiple occasions tried to interfere with the arrest. she got what was comming to her.

I'm baaaaack, or I should say that my class of new students is starting, and they insisted that their classes consist of the same Patreon channel that was used last semester as a learning tool, (word of mouth travels fast). Since it was the large increase in my classes that got me the auditorium and some nice perks I'm not going to argue. Just to be clear, I agreed that the comments I post will come from my students as long as they are legitimately from aspects of the video. So, the top two comments from today's last class that saw it were not too in depth. 62% of the class (both guys and girls) thought Kai was a very articulate along with being a very attractive older woman (older than them), and they think that the opening picture with the tattoo could be of Kai with a photoshopped tattoo for easy content. The second highest comment was that they think Henry and Kai should look for real content because they felt that the scene of the police on the street making arrests was most likely staged because they didn't believe that police would act so harshly given the minimal amount of aggression from the girl. It's the first class, they're new, and hopefully their comments will be a little more targeted from what they learn in the class as time goes on.

I have a feeling those people should not own a cat. Cats typically become more violent and paranoid if punished.
