Interestingly if you look into running really long distances over multiple days (upward of 300km+/195mi+) women start beating men. Women are better at oxidising fat for energy, which is an advantage for really long distance endurance events. Going from memory here but from what I recall it has to do with women having to be able to survive while pregnant for periods without food in the ancient past sometimes.

As a Brit, I am once again shocked at USA healthcare and how stupid it is. 10 grand for 10mins of skin to skin. Over 5 grand just for the baby to BE IN THE SAME ROOM?! What's next? Charge you $2000 just to breathe the hospital air, an additional $3000 to circulate your own blood in your own body and a surcharge of $500 for blinking?!
That was what the hospital says it cost. Neither the patient nor the insurance will pay that much.

Healthcare in the USA is such a ripoff. My 3 kids cost us almost nothing. 3rd was a C-section. Total bill after my wife spent 5 days in hospital was just AU$270. That's around US$150. Australia for the win every time. Universal health care - cost us tax payers just 1.5% extra on our income taxes.
Even though our health care cost more, I would want an American specialist over a specialist from a socialized medicine based country. In America if you are the best in your field, you get paid a lot more. In your country they get much lower pay for the same job description whether they are the best or the worst, or somewhere in between. As long as you don't need a lifesaving specialist, universal health care is ok.
