After watching a few of these with Henry and Kai, what stands out is how intensely they react to games like this. I get that it is partly content strategy and view farming, but it sometimes comes across less like playful commentary and more like the game is filling a gap that would normally be handled in real life. They are 30ish but act like 15 year old's with this stuff. almost like there's a bit of arrested development going on. What I struggle to understand is the ongoing sense of gratification once the initial novelty of explicit, role-play-driven content has worn off. If they are both repeatedly but vicariously engaging with simulated intimacy together through a videogame and clearly comfortable with each other, it raises the question of whether exploring that dynamic in reality with actual people, potentially even each other, would be more fulfilling. There is a point where continued reliance on simulation starts to feel less like entertainment and more like a substitute, which makes the dynamic seem a bit odd from the outside.
