I missing the restaurant videos

it's hard to compare price points if you have nothing to compare it to. You guys should've put one piece of tuna from each place on plates in front of each of you, then guess the order and then flip the plates. That would've made it easier to judge.

I used to not get sake either until I went to a pub crawl in Japan. I had the mid sake and low budget one, mid is defo better. Soosh depends where u are cuz any budget is good if u are in Japan since fish is always fresh everywhere.

The only tuna I’ll eat is dolphin safe canned tuna otherwise I’ll pass on all seafood. It’s just not my thing.

This was a bad way to test... you should get all 3 and allow to put em in a tier after tasting all of em.

$40 was the most expensive sake because it was in a way smaller bottle

It's odd, for some reason much of it tastes like raw fish. I don't understand why. Maybe that's why they keep serving it with wasabi, and soy sauce. Go figure.

We can find sushi here in Georgia, no problem. I can't guarantee how good it all is. It is here though, and usually fairly inexpensive.

$3 sushi? >.< In Finland lowest you can get similar size box is about 10€ and that is from Lidl store. And if you want actual tuna sushi then you have to go to the expensive restaurant in the capital.

The fatty salmon being the best one says a LOT about the quality of available salmon in the area. The only salmon that is ever fatty is the tasteless low-quality swill you get from fish farms...

My two favorite sushi rolls I get are Eel and sweet potato. If you’ve never tried a sweet potato rolls I highly recommend it

I eat a lot of sushi, but I absolutely hate wasabi (it tastes disgusting) and I don't really use the soy sauce often... Does it make weird to prefer the fish without anything other than rice?

First time I tried sake, cheap shit at room temperature it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. Tried heating it following instructions on the side of the bottle. It made it horrendously worse. (Warm sake at restaurants usually really good.) Years later I tried the same brand again chilled, it was delicious. Unfortunately, now I can go through a bottle in about an hour. Not a good thing for my liver.

Having lived in Japan for 3 years, I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to sushi. The best sushi you get here in the states (most places anyway) is about as good as the 7-11 sushi in Japan. The actual sushi places in Japan have no peer here in the states that I've experienced.

At one video a month. that was not worth the price of admission. I'd rather have seen an unpixellated YouTube video.

My friend and I frequently eat at a sushi restaurant since she really enjoys sushi. Myself, I will NEVER eat sushi, or any other raw meats. My friend says that the sushi tastes really good, but I tell her that, I don't care how good it tastes, I am concerned about the bacteria in raw meats, so I will never eat raw meats. I always order their cooked food, like shrimp hibachi or filet mignon hibachi, and those are really good at that restaurant.

Future taste test suggestion: someone else has to feed the taster so they can't see the food. We also 'eat' with our eyes. Might make filming easier too. 😉
