concerning the itch.io situation
just to quickly acknowledge it: my game was indeed delisted along with every other nsfw game on itch.io, but it wasn't removed or anything like many were. i'm hoping it'll get reindexed soon, but until then i don't really know anything that isn't public. they've been very cagey and vague with their decisions, but i'll be sure to keep everyone updated if i learn anything. while this is all very frustrating, none of it is surprising and i'm still working on the game
in the meantime, i'd recommend everyone read and sign the petitions below concerning the situation with these payment processors
much of this movement is led by Collective Shout, a christian non-profit funded by advocacy groups like Exodus Cry who have histories of being anti-lgbt, anti-abortion, and anti-sex work. don't let anyone tell you this is anything but an attempt by reactionary conservatives to control what is and isn't acceptable for people to do with their own time and money. this has nothing to do with feminism or protecting anyone. please don't let the discourse get poisoned. do your homework, and do your best to support creatives who need your help.

If you think this has something to do with some powerless NGO, you are terribly uninformed. It's the monopoly of all-powerful payment services who use this as a pretext for their agenda. They have done this before and will continue until they have total control about what people can and can't buy.
two things can be true at once. i did mention payment processors in my post (and linked to several petitions about them lol), but payment processors aren't doing this out of nowhere for no reason. there is also a very specific movement targeting adult content through payment processors happening, specifically mentioned by itch.io in their blogpost. both of these things are relevant
