New Polls and Reader Update

Hey everyone,

I hope you guys are well!

The new polls are up on the site, so please go vote on them.

A quick little update on the new reader I’ve been working on.

I’m making really good progress and I’m aiming to have it live next week. The next members-exclusive story with Nika Venom is also just about finished, and I’ve actually been using that story to test the new reader as I build it.

I’m close enough now that I’m going to lock this in: this week’s story will be the last one using Imgchest.

Next week you guys can expect the new exclusive story as well as the regular story. The regular story may be pushed a little later into the weekend depending on how much progress I can make getting the reader finished and ready to launch.

And just to clarify, this isn’t simply an image reader.

I’m building something that should make the stories feel much more like you’re actually scrolling through a message conversation. Media will be clickable, and the text itself will scroll naturally like a normal chat.

It should also drastically simplify the publishing side for me. Right now, getting a story uploaded, organised and ready to go can take me around two hours. The new system should make that process much faster, which means more of my time can go into the actual writing.

I hope you guys are excited! I’m really looking forward to getting this live, and I think it’s going to be a great addition to the site.
