Little update on what will be happening with my patreon page moving forward
It's official, the EA buy out has gone through. Many of us are saddened and concerned for the future of our lovely game, me included. I did plan on continuing making content for the sims4, CC aswell as game play posts over on tumblr. However, since the buy out has officially gone through I no longer want to give the sims 4 any advertisement at all on my patreon page. I will no longer be buying packs, kits etc and I also will not be creating any CC for the game anymore. I understand those who still want to create and buy into the franchise and that's fine, but my personal choice is not too
I haven't really created content much these past six months or so over on tumblr either, and I kinda just want to create gameplay posts when I'm in the mood to actually play the game/create gameplay content. I will still 100% be playing the sims 4, I just won't be advertising anything on here anymore as it doesn't agree with my values anymore.
Although I rarely play the game now, it will always be a comfort game of mine. It's a game where you can just pick up where you left off and have some fun, for me these past couple of years have been more based on making content and in the process I fell out of love with the game and lost a lot of the joy that I once had playing it. I'm hoping one day I get that back
Anyway I'll be keeping my patreon page up for now but I won't be monitoring it for comments etc as honestly I just forget to check most of the time anyway

I'm right there with you. Haven't given EA a cent since I heard about the buyout in October and don't plan to ever do again. But I will continue to play for a lot of years as the Sims has been THE game for me since release in March 2000. I will also support creators who are not affiliated with EA, but I fully understand you don't want anything to do with it anymore. Wish you all the best!!
I haven't played the game myself in many months, and I'm actually nervous about updating it now that the buyout has gone through, so I completely understand. I still love looking at CC, though, because it's pretty and I appreciate the artistic value of what people create. You've always been one of my favorite creators. I appreciate your keeping us updated on your thought process and your plans 馃

I do actually have both of those games, but I haven't touched them at all since release 馃槶
