Game Devstory And Content Update

My goal is to make game development my main job: at least 375 active paid subscribers.

As of the publication of this post, I have 79 active paid subscribers.

New images can be found in the private folder.

The path to the folder with updated images:

The latest working build of “Erindale: The Code of Reality” is also located in the private gallery.

The link to the private gallery can be found in the pinned post on the home page for paid subscribers. See it in the Recent posts.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my endless thanks for supporting my activities to my general sponsors with the nicknames:

Hi!

I’m continuing my story about the development of games and other size‑difference content.

Thank you for staying with me — even during the weeks when there are no build updates.

This weekend, I was back at the script again: finishing the next part of the storyline that’s currently in development. That’s exactly why there was no update to the working build this time — all my time went into making sure the story feels right.

The branch is almost ready now, and I’m desperately trying to add a really cool plot twist. I’ve got the idea, but I need to present it in a way that’s engaging. And trust me, it’s not as easy as it sounds. Sometimes, I rewrite a single line ten times until it finally “clicks.”

I know that many people want a demo — and I totally get it. I also believe a demo should be truly solid, not just “done somehow, just to have something.” So for now, instead of a demo, there’s a video with some gameplay moments. I really hope it helps you get a sense of the game’s atmosphere. If it’s still not enough for now, please be patient. I can’t give a precise release date for the demo: a lot depends on how much time I can carve out between my main jobs and family. Those who’ve been with me for a while know how my life works. If you’re new, please take some time to check out my older posts: they tell about my situation and my other projects.

Sometimes, I start doubting myself: am I going in the right direction? Maybe I’d be better off going back to something simpler — for example, platformers like “Final Exam.” Technically, those kinds of games are easier to make. And with enough effort, I can even turn a platformer into a "Metroidvania". But at the same time, I want to create something that really resonates with people. And that’s where I really need your help.

I get a lot of emails, and honestly, many of them are hateful. Often, it’s not even about the game — it’s directed at me personally, and that’s obviously hurtful. I read everything, but I try not to waste my energy on empty attacks. On the other hand, I genuinely consider any constructive thought — even a short one. Sorry that I can’t reply to absolutely everyone. Please believe me, I see everything, and I take it all into account.

Tell me what you like more: visual novels or, say, platformers? What stuck with you from “Final Exam”? Even a single sentence helps me stay focused and keep going. Please write to my email — you can find it in the public description of my profile.

In the meantime, the new in‑game images I created this week are already waiting for you in the private gallery.

Thank you so much to everyone who supports me! The game is being developed entirely thanks to your support!

P. S.

I sincerely apologize for the fact that the development is progressing too slowly and many promises made earlier have not been fulfilled. I always do everything I can. But I have to provide for my children, so I spend most of my time working three jobs. It’s very hard. I’m constantly thinking about how to speed up the game’s development. After all, many people criticize me precisely because the development is moving too slowly. Unfortunately, right now I don’t have any ideas on how to make my work faster. I need to work at least at one main job (instead of three) so that I can devote more time to the game. But at the moment, I can’t afford that… Please forgive me for repeating this again. It’s just that those who write to me keep bringing up this topic. Unfortunately, not everyone reads my previous posts.

My name is Helen, and I’m a single mother with two children, working three jobs at different factories.

Right now, I’m working on creating size‑difference content late in the evenings on weekends, because household chores and spending time with my children are a priority.

At the moment, I’m working alone, without any help. All I can rely on is my own strength and enthusiasm.

Please take the above into account and understand why the development is slower than I’d like it to be.

If anyone has any questions, I sincerely ask you to take a little time to read all my previous posts about game development. They contain answers to many questions. I simply physically can’t describe my entire story in every post. Thank you very much for your understanding.

I want to sincerely apologize to those whom I haven’t replied to in messages. I’m sorry, but I really have very little free time. No matter how hard I try to read all the messages, I physically can’t do it. There are too many messages! Most of them, unfortunately, contain hate, but sometimes it’s impossible to tell what they’re about until I open the message.

I read messages from followers on Patreon and Boosty first. Then, as far as possible, I read email and messages on other platforms. Sometimes it happens that I read a message, planning to reply later… but then I forget to do so. And on top of that message, many new messages come in, pushing it far down…

I really ask everyone, please don’t be offended with me if I haven’t replied to someone. I don’t do it on purpose, and not out of malice!
