Update
I put this update off for a while because I really wanted my next update to be ‘trapped part 6 is almost ready’ but there are a few problems that are going to take me a little while to fix. Part 6 is technically almost done, but I kind of screwed something up, and fixing it is proving to be quite… tedious. I tapped into a really good vein of writing a little while back, but there was a problematic part at the beginning of the chapter that was slowing me down, so given that I had the story pretty much mapped out I skipped it, knowing where the story was headed, and wrote on to what I planned as the end of the chapter, but as I got there, I suddenly had a pretty good idea of how the earlier bit should have gone. So I went back and wrote it, but it alters things in a significant way that has required serious reworking of everything that is supposed to come after. I’ve spent the last month tweaking and trying to fix everything to work with the changes, but every problem I fix seems to spring two or three more up, and it’s been spiraling out of control. I think I might need to bite the bullet and just accept that rewriting it from that point might be the only way. Its just really REALLY depressing because that’s about 70 or so pages that may be potentially thrown out. I’ve done this in the past with other works, but this time, its really hurting because I wanted this chapter up. I started writing another story this week because I needed to take a little break from trapped and its been fun, but whether I complete it or not I’ll probably be back to work on trapped early next week. For those who have continued to bear with me, I’m very grateful for your support.

I understand your frustration, but all I can ask for is patience. Work and a lot of other things have been crazy since the start of the year, but despite that I've spent every spare second I've had writing and working on Trapped. I apologize for not doing more frequent updates, and I will try to work on that, but updates, though seemingly brief, do take a bit of time and consideration that shorter messages don't, which is probably why for the past few months I've just been replying to individual messages more frequently than doing full updates. In short, part six is done (writing wise) and I have been working on seven, but I haven't had the time to fix it into a readable state and I probably won't be able to until sometime in April. Also I really need a lot of things to be kept consistent between parts 6, 7 and 8, so most likely 6 won't be released until those have been written, but by then, the story will be near completion. There's a short section of part 6 which isn't affected by the later parts, so I may release it for my patrons (no charge) when I get the time to tidy it up a bit and run it by my editor. Once again, I offer my apologies. This long wait isn't what I wanted it to be, but there are a lot of things happening outside of my control, but I do promise that I am doing my absolute best.
Thanks for the update. I'm strongly in favor of doing it right rather than doing it quickly (which it sounds like is exactly what you're doing, so Yay!). Even brief updates like this are appreciated.
Evidently nothing is happening..... Half a year from last update and a full year from release of the last chapter. I mean come on.... I understand things coming up and getting you side tracked , but a this has become ridiculous. The least could do is give regular updates and at least give some consideration to those of us that have willingly donated money to help support writing efforts.
I would like to know that too. It‘s been more than half a year, how is the story getting along?
