character sheets | emeka & olayemi

hi everyone ♡

the 'emeka in dambele' let's play series will start being filmed later this month so i wanted to properly introduce the main sims i'll be playing with, emeka & olayemi! (yemi for short)

emeka & yemi are kind of opposites, she's the heir to the adeleye dynasty, is the daughter of a king, while emeka lives an ordinary life. but i also i didn't give them very compatible personalities & tastes, would a clumsy, gloomy sim get along with a competitive overachiever? what about their status gap? i guess we'll see LOL

when the royalty & legacy pack came out, i was excited to finally get black african representation in the game, but unfortunately for me, this pack is still very europe-centered. i always turn to mods & cc when i feel something is lacking in my game, but all of the cc related to this pack that i've seen have been made with the european sides of the pack in mind.

maybe it was a little naive of me, i thought more creators would be interested in trying something new now that africa exists in the game, so it's been a bit underwhelming.. at the same time i do understand that people are free to make what they want and know

so i took matters into my own hands and tried turning bellacorde & verdemar into dambele, kind of like how there's a mod that turns britechester into paris, but i completely failed, it looked a mess lol, so instead i've been making recolors, i also tried making an agbada, which is a robe worn by men in west africa, it's not perfect and has some errors, but it'll have to do the job loll

i'm excited to start this series, i might have a cc/mods video out before it starts as i still have builds to finish decorating!

see you soon! ♡

fun fact: emeka & yemi are both nigerian, but are from different ethnic groups, emeka is igbo while yemi is yoruba!
